When I say long time, lets shoot for a year...ish or more. Just starting this thread to see how many people have been vaping for at least a year, and to learn of any health issues they have noticed. I myself have been vaping for about 6 months and have noticed no adverse affects (other than dry mouth).

If there is another place to post this please let me know. I see it that vaping is quite new, and if you are reading this, like me, you are in sorts a test dummy. Just curious to see how the trials are going. Thanks guys.

I've been vaping for a little more than one year. Health-wise; before I started vaping I had been a pack a day (Marlboro Red) smoker for about twenty-eight years. I had almost-chronic sinus problems and was starting to notice some difficulty breathing when I was lying flat on my back. Never had much of a morning cough but my comfortable lung expansion was definitely on the way down. All of those symptoms disappeared within a couple of weeks of switching to vaping, about the same time that I noticed that I could smell and taste again.

I've never noticed any adverse health effects from vaping and my health is much better since I switched.

i am also over the one year mark. soon to be a year and a half. i've had no side effects.... other than the overwhelming urge to play "mad scientist" with flavorless e-liquid. so, other than the quest for the ultimate DIY flavor, some relief from cold and allergy symptoms, and the ability to keep that clean smell on me, i've noticed no side effects. Happy Vaping!!!

According to my vaping gadget from vapr2go which you can find here www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gen...3-i-started-vaping-windows-gadet-counter.html I have been vaping for 1 year, 3 months and 4 days. I feel great. My sinuses are clearer. I can smell and taste. I never really got winded before and I still don't. I just feel better overall. When I smoked I felt sick all the time even when I wasn't. Now I feel good. I hope this helps. :D

If I might jump in here, I would like to ask the longer time (~2+ yrs) vapers a question: How did you find out about vaping that long ago? I mean, it's not exactly advertised all over the place (Is it? Where?). I only found out about it by accident really ~one month ago and I am very surprised to learn that it is such a huge phenomenon. I wish I had discovered it 2 years ago.

Started vaping 17 months ago, off analogs for 15! Way fewer sinus problems, MUCH better taste and smell, & I NO LONGER STINK! I must say that my lung capacity/endurance during physical activity has improved as well. No side-effects of vaping that I can tell, all is good!!

As to Brego's question; My wife informed me that I could not smoke in the house any longer, because we were going to care for my newborn Grandson (and now a Granddaughter as well). After the "This is my house" argument failed, and not wanting to go outside in the Winter, a quick Google search on "smoking alternatives" lead me to the 'Blu' (and then a new search on 'Electronic Cigarettes' and eventually to this forum). Progressed from a 'Blu' (L88B) to a Janty Mini-Fogger (306) to a 510. Once I got a 510, I quit analogs completely. Thanks to this forum; for the information on cart mods, new devices & keeping up-to-date on the progress of the e-cig technology, I remain a happy vaper!!!

May made 1 year for me. I didn't have any health problems before, but I can smell much better now (not always a good thing lol). I gained about 5 lbs. I got an ego recently and love it! Just take it and go, no changing batteries etc.. It's been a good experience and I'm happy to say that I've turned a few people on to e-cigs.

Awesome! Thanks for all the replies everyone. Dunno why, but didn't expect so many. I guess what spawned this thread was another I read earlier. It was someone saying they had respiratory problems. The person wasn't attributing it directly to vaping, and was being quite objective about the whole thing. Nevertheless, still makes me wonder. At times I feel most of the things than are very pleasurable (most) seem to be harmful in one way or another. Know what I mean Vern? Glad to hear from some Vets out there.

I found out by some random post in an off topic forum. Did some research and yeah.. I think my first kit was a 102 maybe? Didn't really get into it too much until I blew $65 on a 510 kit though. Then I eventually found ECF and things just got out of hand.

I didn't think I had any real problems after 20 years of smoking, but after being smoke free for a few years I've noticed my very physical job is much easier to do now. Fatigue is a thing of the past, and I also seem to exhibit an increased libido. The only down side is the increased sense of smell, especially if you do your shopping at Wal-mart.

I hit 22 months on the 17th. easy as pie.

I found it through my job. I was managing a kiosk that sold teeth whitening kits and my boss called me one day and said "we are getting in the e-cigarette game, I am sending you several samples so tell me which one we should stock." Alot has changed since then and there have been alot of improvements since then. Those of us who started doing this 2 years ago will tell you that the stuff out back then pales in comparison to what is available now.
