I'm wanting to put together a small, discreet system for out-an-about vaping. I'm thinking about going with an eleaf Pico mod (VW/TC 75W <$30) and looking to top it with a short, squatty 2-3 ML mini clone tank (<$20). I'm currently looking at clones of the Kayfun Mini 3 and the Goblin mini.

Other than the 58mm height, I like this Kayfun at FT. Top-fill, juice control, airflow control, single coil.

This Goblin Mini clone at FT is a gorgeous tank and I'd love to have it, but it's bottom-fill and dual coil (guess I could build it single coil), and I'm not loving the non-standard glass drip tip. I'm pretty clumsy and a glass drip tip would last me about a week, so I'd prefer to use teflon tips in a standard size so I don't have to stock multiple spares.

Both RTA's have glass tanks but I prefer plastic/PC (clumsy) and once I find the RTA I want, I'll have to see if I can find some plastic tanks to use with it.

Anything else I should be looking at besides these two?

there are also clones of the goblin mini v2, that one does have topfill. Both versions come with a single coil adapter, so you can run the perfectly fine in single coil mode.
Also take a look at the mini serpent, single coil, topfill, seems easy to build, and not expensive (round $20)

There is also a "nano" version ;) it just don't come with the single coil adapter like alot of the minis do :(

Thanks, guys. All four of those look great.

The Goblin Mini v2 looks really good, but the glass drip tip still bugs me. I haven't been able to find if the Mini v2 uses a 510 drip tip but if not, there are adapters for other Goblins that should fit. I also don't see a single coil adapter with either the FT Goblin clones, but if there is such a thing (I don't doubt you), I'm sure I can find it aftermarket somewhere. The glass tanks are also a worry, but I may be able to find some acrylic alternatives out there somewhere

The Goblin Nano looks great, too and ditto the single coil adapter. For $9, it's worth a try.

The Kayfun Monster clone also looks good and that one does come with an acrylic tank.

I couldn't decide between them so I just ordered one of each!

Thanks again!

the goblin nano does not come with a single coil adapter! Be aware of that, but the adapter of a regular goblin mini v1 will fit.
The goblin mini v2 will fit any normal 510 driptip (as opposed to the v1) so you don't have to use the glass one.
The goblin minii V2 is a bit tricky to wick, but otherwise an excellent tank, one of my favorites.
The Serpent mini seems a bit easier to work with though.

I see that you ordered the Goblin Nano. I haven't used it but I have all the other Goblins. I like 'em. However, if you have another couple bucks to spare, I got another couple suggestions.

1) Skip the Pico. I want one, too, and it looks great, but the Smoant Knight V1 Kit is a 60 TC side by side... If you get the kit, it'll come with a Kanger Toptank clone-ish 4.5 ml tank. It's a really nice kit and I've posted a review on my website.

2) If you're really stuck on the Pico, get a Pico RTA. It's a VERY small tank, and has no glass. it is a tighter draw, but as you were looking at a Kayfun, I figure that's not an issue. It can run a single coil, or can be adapted to use a Joyetech CLR coil head. It is top fill, but you'll need a needle-tipped bottle... small fill ports. I've got mine on my Mini Volt at the moment, but when my Pico arrives, you know what I'm putting on it :)

3) Instead of getting ANY additional RTAs, take a look at the Eleaf Melo RBA Head. They make a coil head that is dead simple to rebuild and will work in the Melo III tank that comes with the kit (if you got the kit)

Just my $0.000000064684 (that's after taxes, doncha know...)

I ordered the Pico mod yesterday afternoon, but the way things are going, I'll be up for a new mod pretty soon and the Smoant Knight V1 looks pretty cool. I've checked a few sites and have only seen it available for pre-order, though. It's listed under VW/VV/TC on the Smoant site but the product description doesn't mention VW... I assume it still has a VW mode? Also, the button placement looks awfully low for a steath device. If you're palming the mod to achieve stealth while you use it, how do you get a digit on the fire button?

The Pico RTA looks pretty good and I may pick one up at some point, but I did just order three different mini's yesterday and should probably see how those go before moving on.

I very nearly ordered the Melo Mini with the Pico. It looked great but decided against the coil head at the last minute.

The Smoant knight has VW (just liek any other TC capable mod).
It uses the same button placement as the Xvostick, and let me tell you, it's perfect....you can fire very easily, I like it even better than the normal button placements.
'll certainly order one as soon as it comes out of pre-order, I love my xvostick and this one is very similar, and alot cheaper :)

I've been using the Serpent Mini for a few days. It's a Nice Small Tank for Flavor.

The Serpent mini seems a bit easier to work with though.

That's three nods to the Serpent Mini, I'll definitely check it out.

Great info, drugarth, thank you.

I have this one and really like it but the coil melted the plastic on top where it seals the chamber (not a mouth piece) and now it leaks pretty bad from an air holes because the air getting in . It's pushing a juice out even trough a refill hole on the bottom. They should make it glass.
Forgot to add there is no holes for the coil. Have to wrap around tiny screws which is a real problem with a low gauge coils (28 and down).

Without the atty in front of me it's hard to visualize how the coil damaged the tank, but I'll check that when I get it.

My Kayfun Lite+ v2 clones also have those kinds of posts, and you're right - they're a pain. I use 28 gauge wire and don't have any problem wrapping the wire around the screw and tightening it down, but they make it darned near impossible to adjust the leg length and position/re-position the coil. I'm looking forward to the nice build decks on the Goblin clones, but still not sure dual-coil is right for me - hopefully I'll be able to find the single-coil adapter that's been mentioned earlier.

I checked my FT today and both the Goblin Nano and Eleaf Pico were holding up the order, so I cancelled the order on the Goblins and Pico and ordered the Samoant Knight V1 and Serpent Mini elsewhere.

I hadn't been able to find any aftermarket single coil plugs for the Goblins and didn't want to have to kludge a single coil build, and the Serpent Mini looks like a killer single coil mini.

The Samoant Knight side-by-side is exactly what I was looking for (stealth vape) when I started this quest, so it's actually a good thing that FT hadn't shipped yet.

Thanks, all.
