I started with V2cig and tried other stuff but I came back to v2cig. My problem with v2cig is that i'm from Canada. The shipping is really expensive and I can only order stuff without nicotine from them. All my orders are stuck at customs for over 1 month everytime...

Now i'm trying to find another good canadian vendor for my blank carts on my batteries

I've had several 510-style setups, and I always thought I needed to have something sorta-cig-sized. I really liked the 510-T because of the tank system. They're reasonably priced, and you know parts are available anywhere. Funny thing is, I started using an eGo/eGo-T and then added the eGo Booster for VV. I recently "graduated" to a ProVari (which I love) but I still find myself using the eGo's (and they feel so small and light now). I hardly ever use anything smaller than the eGo. I picked up one of the small 350mAh eGo batts and I can put on a vision clearo and it's quite compact while holding 1.6ml of juice.

I started with Green Smoke and am still happily using them even though I have added variable voltage batteries and some tanks. Green Smoke is ridiculously overpriced and they don't sell refill juice. However, the worst problem is their non-standard threading. I would very strongly recommend that you stick with 510 threading as that will give you the greatest number of options going forward.

I have had arthritis in my hands since my late teens and tunnel carpal issues sneak up on me quickly if I'm not very careful. My eGo Twists have a manual button which has caused no ill effects whatsoever and I vastly prefer the manual battery over the Green Smoke automatic. The draw is much more natural. Also, a manual battery allows testing new flavors with an atomizer which the automatic batteries do not.

It matters not how girly pretty something is that doesn't function well. The good news is that you can buy e-cig skins for the cig-alike batteries in close to limitless choices. If that doesn't give you a sufficient girly fix go to the craft store for bling or to the beauty supply for nail bling.

However, all said, if I was forced to choose between my cig-alikes and variable voltage batteries the variable voltage batteries would win hands down. There is much less time needed battery tending and dialing in the voltage to optimize the taste/vapor/throat hit is wonderful. The variable voltage eGo Twists come in pink and the form factor is similar to a cigar.

I would have to +1 the Volt. I am pretty "against the grain" with the batteries, I prefer the autos. I have no base of comparison with other vendors but since August, I have used the Volts and been very happy with the Smokeless Image products as a whole. I did go with Vapedudes for juice because my one complaint about SI is that the juice selection is small. I actually had no intention to quit but I did and the Volt has met all of the recomendations given that I read. you can do the colors and jewels you want with the Volt along with battery wraps and etc

Trying to find something simple and ALSO wanted to refill cartos may not go hand in hand. Once you start the refills, you have to find something to put it in that is easy and you can't change carto flavors once you use one and could only add the flavor you want to either prefilled cartos with the flavor you want or blank ones. I wanted something simple too and that turned into clearos, bottom coil CE3s, 20 different juices, a case, extra batteries, a tackle box to keep it in..........................

LOLLLL good for you. Just realize the same flavors (example: buttermint) will vary greatly from vendor to vendor as they all have different recipes and suppliers for the ingredients.

Vapoor..I noticed that when I was browsing the flavors...LOL I am still debating on when I order them do I what ratio of PG/VG will I be wanting to try. I still have some research to do in that area, and yet then it will still probably have to be trial and error...LOL

See - didn't that go better? :)

As to your 510 versus 808 concern: These are just threading standards. The only issue here is that 510 is more/most common so you may find more options that will fit a 510 battery than with an 808. That extra popularity of the 510 means you might get dinged a price premium for certain 808 stuff due to it's lower sales volume.

As far as "sealed automatic" batteries go that's a technological contradiction. An automatic battery must has a vent hole - somewhere - to draw air across a sensor that turns the battery on. If the battery were truly a sealed automatic, by it's very design, it couldn't function. Your caveat on this one is: Getting liquid in that vent hole will kill the battery. An auto battery will work ok if you are savvy enough to prevent that from happening. But one "Oopsie!" with liquid going where it should not can kill the battery.

Cignot has a 510 tank kit. And it's the only cigarette size I can refer you to at Cignot as having XL size batteries.

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-51t-nbx.htm

The kit comes with two batteries. And at Cignot you get to pick two different batteries in your kit - 2 different colors, 1 manual and 1 automatic etc. Down side? They dont' have any really girly battery colors right now.

Beyond that the kit comes with 5 tanks. You can select them as either pre-filled or empty to fill as your own. They are reusable.

As to charger needs: The included charger is pretty much universal. It has a USB dongle that plugs into an included wall AC adapter. The same dongle could be plugged directly into any USB port for charging. And you could get a car USB adapter to plug it into as well. So two of your bases would be covered already - AC outlet or any USB port. An inexpensive cigarette lighter to USB adapter would give you option number three.

Another reason to consider Cignot is great customer service. Vicki will answer all your pre and post sales questions and get you through any "I have no idea what I'm doing!!!" freak out moments. Vicki is a dedicated tank user too so if you have any problems or questions - she knows the hardware you just purchased very well.

Relax. Step away from ECF and take a breather on occasion. I remember that information overload when I was making my first purchase.

You should get a Joyetech 510-T kit. It has everything you want/need. It is sized like a cigarette, comes with multiple automatic batteries and is simple to use. The 510 is one of the most interchangeable ecigs on the market. It also comes in pink off of zeecigs. com

Thanks! I checked out the cite. The set up looks decent. It has given me something to think about for sure. I do appreciate your input.

I started with V2 and vapour couture is a side co. They are pretty but battery life is nonexistent and their juice changes and shipping problems as well as expense were too much for me. If you must have a cig-alike go with the suggestions above.

Thanks for info on couture...which I had already decided not to get, even though it is so pretty. But since it is so hard to find compatible parts, and the other issues....it fits in the "pretty is as pretty does" catagory....and that usually costs more than I want to spend!!! But the V2 is still on my list of options!

I was in the same boat as you when i first started vaping i got one of those ecigs that actually looked like an analog. long story short, and i do respect the fact that you know what you want but may i say. If you smoke anything more than 10 cigarettes a day your going to get fed up with the pathetic battery life and poor vapor production/flavor and throat hit of the smaller ecigs. I moved up to an ego within a week of owning the smaller ecig and havent even considered going back. I currently have an ego twist for when i go out and a lava tube for at home use. I really do believe the ego twist is the only reason im still vaping. If your absolutely set on a smaller analog style ecig id look at the kr808d1, you can get an auto battery with a bunch of stellar colors from myvaporstore for 30 bucks, and thats the whole kit - ready to vape.

I am trying to quit analogs...breaking free of nicotine all together. I feel more comfortable doing this with a cigarette sized pv. Thanks for sharing the info on the ego's. If and when I ever feel the need to upgrade I will be sure to check into to those!

I am smoking about 1/2 pack a day or less normally and have been for a while now as I have been trying to taper myself down gradually but if I had an extremely bad day it would be more. So I think I will really stick with the cigarette style, as that is what I am currently used to. I'll look into myvaporstore, I don't think I have checked out that site yet. Thanks for the info.

I hate to contribute to info-overload but ... I started with Blu and quickly became frustrated with the battery life and found Volt. I ordered one of the cig sized ones and also one of the larger x2s. You can use it while it's charging so I thought it would be a great back-up and I wouldn't be embarrassed to use it around the house. (I use it almost exclusively now but that's neither here nor there) It's only 20 bucks, comes with a charging cable and and you can use the same cartos and stuff as with the smaller one so if you decide to go with the Volt, go ahead and get and x2 as well. Smokeless Image seems to have great customer service and super fast shipping. I don't think you can go wrong ordering from them. They do have a new product a "nano" something or other that holds a small amount of juice in a clear container and you don't have to use a syringe to fill it. I've ordered some and am really anxious to try them out!

Thanks so much for so much information. I am now aware that I can get a ecig in a color I like and bling it up with a girly factor myself! That rocks! I have already decided to not go with greensmoke, although expensive.....they didn't have all the options I really wanted for me to go through them. I might get one auto/manual setup to start with...it seems like it would be the best to option after hearing all the feedback. I am still going to stick with the smaller cigarette style to start off with. The ego seems a bit too big for me to start off with. Baby steps!!!!!

I will probably end up with a small collection in a box as well. But I am starting very small. I won't order more than 2 or 3 flavors at a time. As for the rest I will have to figure it out as I go! I am really impressed with the accessories available for the volt. It is definately in my top 3 choices right now. Thanks for the tip on Vapedudes, I will have to check out their juice.

I appreciate all the info you have given me. You have even cleared up the "sealed" automatic battery issue for me. I was under the impression when it was sealed it couldn't have liquid leak into it. I will have to look into Cignot. But since they don't have girly colors...I don't know. I have already narrowed down my search to a top 3, V2, Smokeless Image, and Vapor4life. I just have to decide which one of those I am going to go with....which one fits most of my wants and needs. Oh, I do plan on taking a break real soon...it's almost bedtime! LOL:smokie:

Oh, and if you haven't seen this thread yet check it out:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/323314-show-us-your-girly-pretty-decorated-pink.html

Just to give you some ideas that girly doesn't have to exist only in the small cigarette size and form.

As others have pointed out already you will pay a price with short run times between charges with small, cigarette type batteries.

Rick,

You have been so helpful and I really appreciate all the information. Thank you so much for that link. When I found it earlier I looked at it and saw all the pictures and the reality hit me of what I can do with a plain jane color I like and a little arts and crafts. So as soon as I do make a choice and order my kit, I will start to plan how to bling it out! LOL
