First a little info about me, very new to RBAs, switched from protanks only because of regulations and being a PA resident don't want to deal with the tax which starts next month. I'm looking for a reliable tank with consistent performance to last as long as my provaris.

I have a few kayfun lite+ clones, I've been mostly happy with. It took a while to get the wicking right but I still can't manage to get it right every time.

Some criteria

- well made clones are fine
- small height, don't mind purchasing mini kit. 2 ml is fine
- 22mm diameter or smaller
- adjustable airflow and juice control
- ability to access deck without emptying tank
- accepts single coil
- can be vaped at low wattage (under 10)
- MTL
- Flavor over clouds

Thanks for reading :)

Have you considered getting some authentic KFL+'s?
You already like them and know how to build them.
I have some and they are rock solid.
I also have two EHPro clones, purchased to carry when I don't want to take "the good stuff" out.

I'm going by this sentence in your post..."I'm looking for a reliable tank with consistent performance to last as long as my provaris."

I agree with _Lee, based on your criteria, you've described a KFM3, or a KF5.

I think there are some other tanks that are similar to the KFM3 and the KF5, but I'll let those who are familiar with them post regarding those.

Sounds like the Kayfun Mini V3 to me; maybe a MELO III with a triton RBA deck.
Eleaf has an RBA (ECR coil) that can be used for the Melo and the iJust 2 tanks. I haven't built on mine yet, but as they are pre-built and pre-wicked at 1.0 ohm, they may be more suited to M2L vaping for you. BTW, I have all 3 versions of the Melo and IMO the v2 has better flavor (using stock coils) than the others and a great side fill port. :thumb:

The Kayfun v5 came out a short time ago and everyone seems to love them. They have a Mini version, too. The Tobeco, SXK, and SJMY (full sized) clones seem to all be great quality from what I hear and are all suited to M2L for you.

This tutorial is how I coil and wick mine. I haven't had any issues with coil or wick.
Microcoil Pictorial - Simple
I mean, clearly you know how, :) just offering because I think it's a fabulous tutorial that really helped me out.
Thanks for that :) I'll have a look

The kayfun 5 seems to have a lot of praise from what I've seen on here, I was concerned it was more for high wattage direct lung vape? Will I be able to run it less than 10 watts and MTL? Also can it be shortened with a smaller tank? The size seems a bit big. Other than that it looks like a perfect match.

Same with the KF mini v3. I thought that was a more loose draw heavy hitting RTA.

For the KF5, I've seen the reviews go both ways, and some that didn't like it in the original state, like it comes, out of the box, but like it with the MTL kit (purchased separately) which tightens the draw.

I tried a 5 clone first because the reviews were so mixed.
I'm admittedly a total clone noob, I got mine on eBay.
I don't know who the clone is made by, the brand wasn't named in the listing, the boxes it came with are no help as they give no indication who made it, they all say "Authentic SvoeMesto.
I do want to point out that I've seen others who found "good clones", mine vapes well, but honestly, it's jankey.
The AFC, and the JFC don't feel sturdy, and it wobbles a little on a mod.
The wobble is mostly a deal breaker for me because it's very annoying, however *I* lean towards nit picking stuff like that.
I'd given it a Dawn soak/and good rinse, but it tasted like metal, so I'm guessing maybe machine oil, again...a noob here.
After 3 separate, LONG Dawn hot water soaks, that metal taste is gone.
Appearance wise, it's pretty much spot on as an authentic. I only noticed minute variations.

Because I liked the way the clone vapes, I ordered an authentic from Heather's Heavenly Vapes.
Hot water rinse, no Dawn, no wobble, nothing jankey. Lube your o-rings first. (Reference the SvoeMesto site. ;))

Obviously pricing differences will apply between the authentic vs. a clone.

I also have an authentic KFM3, to me, it's a little tighter draw than the KFL+'s, but not so much so that it's a deal breaker. It does not (or mine didn't) come with the metal tank, only glass. (The 5 comes with both glass and a metal tank, worth noting going into vaping doomsday, if it eventually comes to that.)
I do not care for the tiny deck on the 3. Again, not a deal breaker, just not my favorite to build on, and it's not a knock on SvoeMesto, if you want a smaller tank, the deck is going to be smaller. That's just how it goes.
It fits nicely on a ProVari Mini 2.5, the KF5 looks really nice on the ProVari Classic V2 with the P3 top.

These are just *my* personal experiences, and that's really all I can relate, what I've *personally* experienced and noted.
I'm also brand to Kayfuns in general.
I bought my first one KFL+'s this past May. :)
So, this is a new world to me too. ;)

I'm not trying, nor do I want to, nor will I participate in a clone vs. authentic exchange.
I don't judge, and I don't care what anyone else purchases, truly...it's your wallet/pocket book, your call, and frankly, none of my business one way or another.
Whatever keeps someone off the stinkies is fine with me.

But, I will say...I'm leaning to liking the KFL+'s the best.
I don't know, I've only had my authentic 5 since Tues., so I'm still learning the ins and outs of it. So that opinion may be subject to change.

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to put it all out there since you seem interested in these tanks.

I appreciate all the info. I'm more of a noob so it's all fresh info to me lol.

I'm thinking of passing on the KFv5, I've read a lot of negative reviews about the MTL aspect.

I'd need the MTL kit in addition to some sort of mini conversion/bellcap kit. So I'm wondering if there's a better tank out there that better suits my needs.

You may want to read a bit on the Kayfun Mini V3. It seems to be more of a MTL RBA than the V5. It seems to tick most of the boxes on your list. Here a link I've found helpful.

Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!

You can also use a Kanger Subtank Mini with the RBA base. With a Kayfun style drip tip and adjustable airflow, it can deliver a darn tasty MTL vape. I generally used single microcoil builds around 1.2-1.6ohm for my preference. There is no adjustable juice flow though, but wicking is easy.

The KFM3 seems perfect, only thing I'm not crazy about is the 19mm diameter and I can't seem to find any clones from US vendors.

Any other RTA
Did you look on eBay? I've gotten a few things there, and you can narrow by "US Seller".
