People in this thread mention crazy volumes of 10-20% LorAnn (e.g. 1 ml in 5) for their mixes. I have the suspicion that my stuff is more concentrated (it came in tiny 3.7 ml bottles). In any case, I'm starting with less. I wish I still had access to my microlitre pipettes...

I think some of the flavours are stronger than others. I found apple and coconut to be fairly weak and had to use lots but others like pralines and cream were strong, just a little of these is enough for me.

Please be careful with inhaling colourings Denni, I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you. I try not to inhale anything that doesn't serve a purpose in vapour, if I could get pure glycerine, propylene glycol, flavour and nicotine without any other additives I'd be happier.

OK, I lay off the cherry for now ;)

The coconut tasted strong--like rancid, burnt coconut oil--probably because it got directly onto the atomiser. Some people smoke Bickford's flavours pure so I thought I could get away with dripping a bit on top of the cart, but I don't think I'll do that again.

Does anyone know if you can buy straight liquid nicotine Im sure you must be able to get it somewhere then we could save a fortune on buying these expensive eliquids and make real homemade juice using VG/PG Nicotine and what ever Extracts suits the User.
Obviously you would need to wear gloves etc as Nic at this level can kill.

I found a few sites stating Nicotine Liquid is found in most US inhalers.

So there must be somewhere selling the pure stuff in the UK

For me vaping is a pleasant alternative to tobacco - and it keeps me off tobacco, which for me is a welcome and long overdue change.

Gardeners in England used to throw their dog-ends into a bucket of water. When the water was suitably murky they used this as a nicotine wash on plants (insecticide). It killed everything in sight, including bees (which we need to encourage - do you want to pollinate a pear tree by hand? No bees - very little pollination).

Nicotine is a nasty alkoloid poison and we really shouldn't muck about with it too much! :)

The subject of pure nicotine has been here before, Sanjp, and just know that you don't want to be anywhere near such stuff. It's an assassin's weapon. And while it does exist for industrial purposes, you are not likely to ever be able to buy it (thank goodness). It is no longer even used as an insecticide in the U.S., so there is no consumer source. Understand that, among poisons, it ranks with the most deadly.

weird Kate I thought you use the same LorAnn bottles as I did ? All the bottles Ive got have ingredients PG , FLAVOR ,AND RED 40 OR BLUE 41 OR YELLOW 5

Ive now tried all of them and have to say a little goes a seriously long way ! I added only 10 tiny drops of raspberry to 30ml 24 mg Nic Juice no VG and it tastes amazing.

Being that all these flavors are top quality and FDA approved for FOOD im sure in such trace amounts they cant be a problem.

At least we that mix our own know whats in the Juice (god knows what the manufactures flavor there juice with)

Kate what does it say on your strawberry raspberry and banana creme LorAnn bottles ?

I didn't buy strawberry, raspberry or banana creme flavours, presumably because they have colours in them.

These are ones I have that are ok:

Apple
Blackberry
Bavarian Creme
Bubble Gum
Butter
Vanilla Butternut
Pralines Creme
Pomegranate
Pistachio
Pecan
Mint Chocolate Chip
Mango
Key Lime
Cranberry
Coconut
Cheesecake
Chocolate Hazelnut

How do you know there is only trace amounts of colours in yours Sanj?

Some of them are pretty strong but some aren't, you have to treat each flavour individually. Coconut and apple aren't too strong.

Hi San, thanks for the reply I only have the coconut and its ingredients are:- artificial flavor and PG, the liquid is totally colourless. I did wonder about some of the fruit flavours as they looked coloured in the pictures. The champagne however looks colourless I may try that next. Like Kate I am not sure about vaping the ones with colour in. You will have to let us know if your teeth go a funny colour or anything :) Hope they dont !!

A list of the candy flavours can be found on the manufacturers website here - https://www.lorannoils.com/c-6-super-strength-flavors-candy-oils.aspx

If you click on a particular flavour and then on 'item details' on its page you will get a list of ingredients. It's worth checking before buying if you don't want to inhale unnecessary additives.

EDIT
Champagne should be ok Betty, they say that there's only pg and artificial flavours in it.

thanks Kate

I think its maybe in are heads about the colourings as we are ok with inhaling ARTIFICIAL FLAVORINGS and all these E JUICES on the market now without and single clue as to what is really going into them but we worry about colouring.

Maybe if I dont post anything for 3 weeks you guys will know that you shouldnt use the ones with colours . LOL

but bottom line is until proper tests and results are published

We are all Guinea Pigs .. I Do This In The Name Of Vaping Science !:)

Ha, well good luck Sanj and just watch out for adverse reactions. Hopefully none of this stuff builds up in our bodies long term.

I've been checking the LorAnn site and these are the candy flavourings that I think are ok to use:

Apple
Bavarian Creme
Black Walnut
Blackberry
Brandy
Bubble Gum
Butter
Butter Rum
Caramel
Champagne
Cheesecake
Chocolate Hazelnut
Cinnamon Roll
Coconut
Cotton Candy
Cranberry
English Toffee
Guava
Honey
Horchata
Horehound
Key Lime
Lemonade
Licorice
Mango
Marshmallow
Menthol Eucalyptus (this contains Caprillic Triglycerides whatever they are, I don't know if it's ok or not)
Mint Chocolate Chip
Pecan
Pina Colada
Pineapple
Pistachio
Plum
Pomegranate
Praline
Pralines And Cream
Pumpkin (this contains Triglycerides, I don't know if it's ok or not)
Sassafras
Strawberry Kiwi
Teaberry
Tropical Punch (Passion Fruit)
Vanilla Butternut

The rest had colours, oils or sugars so have not been included.

The idea of color additives got me searching. I found organic flavoring extracts on Pristine Planet. I haven't posted 15+ times so I can't give the url.

This idea had not crossed my mind till I saw the thread. I don't know if this will even work:?:. Just looking or alternate option.

This is what they had to say about the flavorings:
100% certified organic flavoring extracts for all your baking and flavoring needs. These superior quality extracts were developed by flavoring institutes to provide exquisite retention of flavor when used in baking and cooking. Produced in a base of grain alcohol and water; these completely natural extracts do not contain any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I went for it and got some VG and some of those chocolate flavourings from Sweetcreations (linked to earlier in the thread) so I can puff away on scrummy low-nicotene mixes when indulging in some hardcore gaming. The flavourings came today so I've been enjoying trying the English Toffee flavouring mixed with Smokester's Apple e-juice, mmmm, oh yes, marvelous.

I'm never going to save money on fags when there's so much yummy stuff to be vaped :p
