The same thing happened with listed ingredients from Barry Farm for me Mixxy. I bought chocolate and grape (I think) because the list of ingredients was fine but when I got them and checked the bottles there were colours :(

It's best to double check ingredients at the LorAnn website even if you're buying elsewhere.

I got mine from the States Pseudo but, sorry, I can't remember how long they took to get here. If it was ages I would have remembered.

Okay gang  You can't trust the Lorann web site 100% either  When I went to buy flavors the 1st time I'd printed off the list that Kate posted for the "okay" flavors. I bought Tropical Punch that was on the list (but hadn't tried it yet.) I just went through ALL of my flavors... and Tropical Punch DOES have coloring listed on the bottle: Red 40, Blue 1

but this is what is listed as the ingredients on the Lorann web site:

Tropical Punch Flavor (Passion Fruit)
Product Number:0500-0100
Kosher Certified. Contains: Artificial Flavor, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol. Soluble in water. Appropriate for use in chocolates and coatings. Not eligible to ship by air.

Guess I'm going to have to take my magnifying glass with me when I go flavor shopping!

My Lorann oils came this morning but already my face is tripping me :(

They have sent me 2 strawberry instead of strawberry kiwi, the strawberry has colour in it.

I wouldn't mind so much for the fact I'd already bought 4packs of 1/2 dram oils already from another seller and strawberry was in that order which I can't use to vape...

I now have 10 little bottles of LorAnn Oils that are of no use....

I don't feel in the right frame of mind today to try out some recipies, in fact I'm really feeling ready to quit the vaping. The last few days have not been good.

It just seems to be a money eater and very little satisfaction. If it all worked like the first drag I got with my new pen, I'd be in heaven but sadly for me it ain't.

Anyway, before I give up I'll try a few recipies. I'd like to hear from people who make their own recipies with only the ingredient:
Propylene Glycol and/or Glycerin
with LorAnn Oils

The reason I ask this is because someone wrote a recipe and said it was yummy but they had used wicked blah blah juice with a drop of another blah blah juice, so for me to try it, I'd need to send to wicked for said juices...:D

Darn it pseudonym... that is a bummer! Did you at least get a few flavors that are okay for mixing?

You can't go wrong with Kate's recipes (pasting in below)

20 drops per ml.

Kate's small batch recipe (as posted above) is
10% water
10% Flavoring
20% Commercial E-Liquid
60% VG

That equates to (for a 1ml sample)
2 drops Water
2 drops Flavoring
4 drops E-Liquid
12 drops VG

Kate's receipe for making small batch's:

.5 ml Distilled Water
.5-1 ml LorAnne flavoring
1 ml Commercial E-liquid
3 ml VG

You can leave out the commerical e-liquid and just use 4 ml of VG (or part VG and part PG.) :)

Thanks mixxy, I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today  I called a smoking group yesterday, I need to join up then go see my Doc to get put on some tablet to help me stop smoking but I have to join a group first.

I was hoping the ecig would have done it for me but alas it's not going to work, it's to unpredictable and expensive for me but I will keep looking at this site and keep up with the news.

I have enough supplies to last me another few weeks so I will continue plodding along looking for a no nic recipe.

I got the following Lorann Oils sent :
Cinnamon Roll
Strawberry Kiwi (This is the one they sent Strawberry for...urgh)
Blackberry
Pralines & Cream
English Toffee
Cheesecake
Sassafras
Marshmallow
Bubble Gum
Mint Chocolate Chip

I've tried only the basic mixture of 1ml on these flavours. I’m waiting to try some mixes and hope to come up with something nice.

I have rated these flavours in my order of preference. First is the one I like best….

1. Pralines & Cream
2. Cinnamon Roll
3. English Toffee
4. Marshmallow
5. Mint Chocolate Chip
6. Bubble Gum
7. Blackberry
8. Sassafras
9. Cheesecake
10. Strawberry Kiwi (didn’t arrive but hope it’s good)

I wanted to know what “Sassafras” was and this is what I found!!!

In 1960, the FDA banned the use of sassafras oil and safrole in foods and drugs based on the animal studies and human case reports. Several years later, the sale of sassafras oil, roots, or tea for human consumption was prohibited by law.[citation needed] Subsequently, both Canada and the United States have passed laws against the sale of any consumable products (beverages, foods, cosmetics, health products such as toothpaste, and others) that contain more than specific small amounts of safrole.[7]

Sassafras tea can also be used as anticoagulant.

Sassafras was a commodity prized in Europe as a cure for gonorrhea.[8]

1ml sample

0.1ml Flavouring
0.3ml Glycerin
0.6 ml Propylene Glycol

This is equal to:

2 drops Flavouring
6 drops Glycerin
12 drops Propylene Glycol

10ml sample

1ml Flavouring
3ml Glycerin
6ml Propylene Glycol

This is equal to:

20 drops Flavouring
60 drops Glycerin
120 drops Propylene Glycol

15ml sample

1.5ml Flavouring
4.5ml Glycerin
9ml Propylene Glycol

This is equal to:

30 drops Flavouring
90 drops Glycerin
180 drops Propylene Glycol

Hey group, I was at Meijers today and happend upon a lorAnn display selling 2 packs of flavoring.Picked up some cherry, rasberry, root beer( all with coloring..I believe),and wintergreen(no coloring?).Also stopped at the local health store and bought some VG.2 questions: 1.I have heard here that the ones with coloring are bad..is this true? 2. Is it necessary to add distilled water to a non-nicotine d.i.y. juice? or just VG and flavorings? Comments are appreciated! The Wiz!

Thanks Kate........Used the Wintergreen using the 7drop VG+2 drop distilled=1 drop LorAnn.....seemed a little watery to me..good vapor and throat hit...but had to top off faster than my PS True Menthol........any other input about my mix would be appreciated..Thanks again! The Wiz!

I looked up the Wintergreen on LorAnn's web site.. because most likely I would love this one (being a former menthol analog smoker! :)) and not really sure (especially after finding out even the LorAnn web site isn't 100% correct with listing their ingredients) but looks like both of the Wintergreen (they have 2 types.. one is called a "natural" flavoring) might contain "oil" so just wondering if this is going to cause a problem with your atomizer? How does the Wintergreen "flavor" compare with the PS True Menthol? I sure wish all of the LorAnn flavors were 100% okay... I just love em'!!! :D

I've been trying NOT to use any with coloring... but accidentally bought the LorAnn Keoke Coffee.. mixed it up... and fell in  LOVE  with this flavor... before finding out it DOES have caramel coloring! Have decided to make an exception for just this ONE flavor and ignore the coloring. :D

We know that oil and too much sugar would probably have an adverse effect on the atomizer, but the colorings were more of a health question. But a couple of people have said they use colorings with no problem. I mean really, we have no idea what any of this stuff is doing to our lungs in the long term. So even though the colorings seem to be a debatable issue, I guess it all boils down to personal preference and the chance someone is willing to take.

Ah....if we only knew for sure about any of this. All we can really do is hope for the best.

Mixxy, I used the wintergreen yesterday(the regular not natural),using a D.I.Y recipie found here(no nic).no colors in it so I'm assuming it is safe. There is no comparison to the PS True menthol. This stuff is pungent...I just used a very small amount(less than the recipie called for in fact),and it was overbearing....I think I need to use more VG and less of this. I will say this..If you like wintergreen this will deliver. All the bottle says for ingredients is Methyl sal...hope this helps!! The Wiz!

Mixxy.......As for the 100% ok goes...I have been heeding Kate's words on colored LorAnn's liquids not knowing if they are safe to vape...still holding on to some of the other flavors I picked up until I hear otherwise.I did add some cherry to a have bottle of PS True cash cola....Wow what a difference..Yum yum!....Thinking for trying a bit of Rasberry in the chocolate I have....Just might be worth the risk! The Wiz!

Thanks Wiz :) Maybe will look at the Wintergreen when I go flavor shopping again. Even though I'm still using mint/menthol juice -- and even tried adding menthol crystal.. I just can't get the same menthol "feel" I had with the analogs.. so am trying to "like/love" other flavors now. I'm actually enjoying the coffee flavor even more than the mint/menthol after using it for awhile. :D

Welcome Mixxy......Tried the wintergreen with way less flavoring added and it was great, might not be the "analog" menthol your looking for,but nice and smooth....found the flavor at Meijers by the way, clearance sale 2 bottles for a buck...can't go wrong! Have fun! :) The Wiz!
