Ok so the new door feels significantly better then the old door. Whatever material they are using feels much less cheap plasticky. There’s still flex but it’s much better feeling in the hide. Same for the front panel and the top plate.

I’ve got some color stripping on the black top plate however.

Ok so the old door has fit issues on the new mods. The new door fits perfectly on the old mod.

The only downside is that it’s in there really right. You have to go to down on it to get it off.

Anyone have any leaked info on actual fulfillment on these things? I'm glad the door is all better, but I'd still like to know if and when I can buy one. I'm glad I didn't do a preorder only to have it delayed a couple of months like this.

Couple of scenarios.

Latest email says they are trying to get out before Chinese New Year. If they manage that you are looking at mod of February.

If they don’t manage to ship until afterwards you are looking at early March.

All at the earliest.

It’s still not perfect. It’s mostly plastic. But for a hundred bucks for a Dna250c. I mean even the dovpo dual is like 80

I'm still curious what the fancy Topside dual will be like. I wish there was more info available. I prefer a DNA board, but I also prefer a device in my hand to use than to wait forever thinking about a device id like to use.

Fact is for my vape style a single 40T lasts me just fine so there's no advantage of a dual battery mod other than for good temp control as that's my preferred vape style. Otherwise I'd be happy with a single battery mod. I kinda kick myself for not getting the Therion 75C squonk, but at the time was not happy with a single 18650 limitation. Now I think I could have lived with it. If neither of these other options pan out I may revert back and just hunt long and hard to see if there's one in the back of some vendor's storeroom.

I’m happy enough on a dna75c. The drone gets a hair more battery life at the same wattage.

I could never go back to the Therion though. I’m thinking about putting mine on mtl duty. A 21700 is just so mich better.

If you don’t need tc the topside is great. If you want really good tc might be worth to save up for a rebel or a boxer. My 21700 boxer has been in daily use since I got it.

I’d grab a topside but they are much too expensive here right now. Within 10 dollars of what I paid for my drone.

I've avoided the rebel and boxer options in the past as I just can't get into the aesthtetics of the 3D printed stuff. I went with the Topside really because I liked the fill system and the 21700 and knew it wasn't for TC. And while I like the Topside quite a lot I'm also happy with a little squonk mech with a single coil little flavor banger on it.

For my rta and occasional subohm mesh tank I prefer my regulated mods. It's less of a must be for a squonker, so if I have to end up passing it won't break my heart. Still it would be nice. One thing I've found fun is playing around with more complex dual coil builds in attys I wouldn't play with on a mech. If I really feel the need for another regulated squonk another Topside is still an option.

Ya the drones not really necessary for just wattage. But I’ve been seeing it around for 100 bucks. That’s so cheap.

I mostly use DNA mods from LV so this would slide in perfectly to my line up. Even better than the Yihi for my preference. But other than that I'm not a regulated squonk vaper.

It was a member here, @Asbestos4004 who knew I was thinking about squonking and reached out to PIF me a 67 mech squonk to see if I liked it along with 2 22 mm rdas for it. The fact is it's become a real favorite of mine and in use almost daily. A simple round build of SS at maybe 0.4-0.5 Ohms with a VTC5A and I'm happy as can be. If this stuff doesn't pan out I'll be moving more in that direction for my squonking. It's simple, it works, and if I do make a mess a trip through the sink and I'm back in business. I've found that very satisfying and no worries of "OMG the board and buttons got juice on them".

Ya I like my furyans a lot. I’m too on the go all day to use a mech though. Need that battery meter and spot charging.

I was thinking of one of those. I like the button lock so it's travel friendly which is my only issue with the mech squonk now, no lock so no pocket carry. Then again I've moved over to using my Orion pod for heading out and even an EQ as they're perfectly satisfying and nothing of any bulk to carry.

The pod systems have come a very long way in the last year and I'm getting used to not having my pocket pulling at me. I couldn't use them as my only regular vape, but they fill a niche quite nicely.

I have the furyan and it works well for me....and looks like an expensive high-end mod. Can't you just take a spare battery with you?

One of the vendors here had that price for preorder. Lemme see if I can find it.

Found it.

Pre-Order: Lost Vape Drone BF DNA250C Squonk Mod $99.36|Evolv DNA250 Chip

Dunno if this vendor is good or not tho. I never use these.

WOW. Don’t think we can use that to compare costs to the Topside Dual – obviously that retailer is not making much profit on the Drone, probably just to get customers in the door (or on their site). What’s the OEM cost of a DNA250C board? Evolv is a small company, their boards are American made, plus there is an added cost to ship to China for manufactures such as LV to assemble. That does not leave much left in terms of profit on a $99 device.

Sure but why. The boxer does everything I need it to do.

Ya I dunno. That’s the price the retailer is willing to sell it at. And it’s just 116 without the promo code too. Can’t use it to compare costs but you definitely need to look at that price when considering a purchase.

They remind me a lot like eFun. And Vaporl recently opened an US warehouse. They always had real nice low prices. But they seem to be really expanding and pushing the prices lower than normal. ;)
