I don't envy Brian....I made that trip with two kids, and a cat in a crate that howled the entire way.... At least he can take the dogs out on a leash....ever try to walk a cat?

Yepper ... Kate and Janet are chilling / relaxing and Hux is sound asleep upstairs. I think everyone will be heading to bed early tonight. Neither Janet or Kate had a good night's sleep last night and although Hux was very well behaved on the flight ... it took a lot of their energy keeping him entertained for 3 1/2 hrs in flight.
He must have really behaved well. At the baggage claim someone mentioned to Kate how well he was in flight.
And oh, Kate has this cool high tech stroller that collapses to a car seat. She was wheeling Hux down the aisle in it but it was inconvenient so she folded it up and lifted it over her head to carry him in. Janet said 6 rows of people started clapping and saying 'way to go Mom'.
Can't be any harder than this...
Yeah, I saw the cat herding vid on youtube some time ago. There was this big, rugged looking cowboy (catboy?) holding a fluffy Persian. The look on his face was total disgust.

Yep, we're home. Whew! Huh is such a happy little 1 year old, but boy is he active! He entertained the people in several seats around us. Too damned cute, how could anybody get mad at him? We're exhausted though. Trying to pack one suitcase while he's unpacking another, chasing him down long hallways dodging people and maid carts, retrieving everything valuable from trashcans. God was right to have young people have babies because us old people have quite a hard time keeping up! It's all worth it though for the hugs and big wet kisses!

Morning Fran ... mine started off different. I walked into the kitchen and Kate handed me a bottle and Huxley. So instead of getting my wake-up coffee, I fed him. But now I have my coffee and watching him explore the new (to him) house.

Yikes! Do we have a bunch of sinners here and everyone spent all day in church repenting. Fran started the day and ended the day with her posts and nothing else all day.
Here is my nomination for funniest commercial of the month. Absolutely nothing subtle on this on...
In between watching out my back window and trying to figure out how many people are now moving into the upstairs apartment...
I made a mushroom spinach quiche...salsa chicken...Italian sausages with peppers... Played with my new toy enough to create some very sore finger tips.. And... am waiting for a pork roast to finish cooking... I do most of my food prep for the week in one day, and off to the freezer and fridge it goes...
Took the dog for a walk at the Nashua River
Drove home the long way because I finally got my summer wheels on
Ate some cold leftover chicken on a fork (pork on a fork sounds better but ...)
Played some Steppenwolf from YouTube and some Brahms from CD
Bingewatched a half dozen episodes of Elementary and ate a salad
Made juice for friends and scared my rat

Please excuse my downer outburst from Saturday .. I have, fortunately, not been visited by the Darkness for a while, yet, Friday and over the weekend, I had a particularly tough bout .. triggered by a number of things that converged all at about the same time .. Sunday, I pretty much spent the day convinced that Life was meaningless and wallowing in my own Bath of Depression .. rendered incapacitated and staring into Space .. unable to function .. and, not helping myself any by staying 4 sheets to the wind during a large portion of the time .. the good news is, I did not remove an ear, so there is that ..
I'm slowly crawling out of it ..
At any rate, All Hail National Cheeseburger Day today .. .. hunt down or make the Best Cheeseburger in your area and indulge ..
