My wish lists are already far too long... If I don't look they won't grow...:D

I wish that worked with dandelions... ;)

Put a cut off valve on the Hot Water Inlet pipe, I now have Cold Running Water throughout .. not quite halfway there, but cold is better than nothing .. :)

"One Small Step for Man .. "

We've been in our place a bit over 20 years, and just had to replace the hot water heater (second time) this last spring. I guess builders are really stretched on a thin profit margin (or just too dang cheap, or stupid!), as the original install didn't have a valve on the inlet either. Yep, that was step one, so we could have water to drink and flush with!

Hope the rest of the install goes easily!

Just a note before I split to the Hardware Store ::

Anyone living on Amazon during Prime Time .. ?? Any scores .. ?? And, are they still doing it like they used to with a Limited Time buy Window and gradually releasing new On Sale goods .. ?? Forcing people to practically Camp Out until anything they needed / wanted might come up .. ??
No, I check now and then, but don't really need anything so nothing spurs my wallet (or credit card).

I don't know how many things I have in my Cart, but it's a lot .. "Saved for Later" .. it goes back years .. I had a coffin in there once, but I think it was Discontinued, it was a nice model at $900 and free shipping .. I have a few Cremation Urns in there .. I'll just put stuff in the Cart on a whim ..

...I have books on my wish list that go so far back in time, that Amazon was primarily a good source for not much beyond books, with what I think was their only warehouse then for shipping, situated in Sparks, NV....;)

Today was quite an adventure. Hubs, myself and a friend were helping my friend in whose orchid greenhouse I've been working pick up a lot of plants from another orchid grower's greenhouse. This guy has severe health issues, is bedridden and has to give up his orchids. My orchid friend oferred to take the plants and sell them for him.

All was well until we arrived. We didn't have the chance to get out of the cars because the daily tropical downpour began. Anyone who lives in Florida can tell you it's a deluge. So we waited in our cars. About 20 minutes later it was over and my friend decided to pull his car by the greenhouse door to make loading faster. Big mistake. His car got stuck in the wet sand. Couldn't go forward or backward.

So…ok…while we waited for a towtruck to pull the car out, we started loading plants in the cars. All went smoothly until I picked up one particular plant. It looked just like the rest. And then the fire ants than were living in it unbeknownst to us…took offense at my trying to move it. They attacked my arm and made sure I knew their displeasure. Mind you this is the same arm that the yellow fly bit a few months ago and sent me to the ER where I found out I had afib.

I have never been stung by fire ants before but had heard that the sting is awful…it feels like you're burning. Well it's no lie!

So we finally got my sting under some control, my friend's care unstuck, the plants loaded up and headed home. We were following my orchid friend who assured us he knew a shorter way back home. Ummm! You guessed it…he didn't…he got us lost. And before you ask, no, he doesn't trust GPS…he knows for a fact it gives wrong directions…never uses it. Hubs and I of course use it all the time so it got us home but not for over twice as long as it could have been if we had not gotten lost and drove quite a distance the wrong direction

So we finally get home, have some chill time and go to bed. Hubs is now bleesfully asleep but me…can't sleep. Besides the itching my occasional restless leg syndrome decided to act up.

I might just stay in bed for the next week:mad:

When I was a little boy in Orlando (I was a little boy in lots of places) I got used to that daily deluge. I even got used to watching that deluge slowly approaching in a solid wall across the pavement.

Hubs got into those fire ants many years ago when he was in Fl. Said pickle juice takes the sting away.

    Good morning everyone :).

I believe it because pickle juice is mostly vinegar and vinegar is known to help with the sting.

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Re-Post of my BP Thoughts ::

My Memory is not what it used to be (who's is .. ??), but Pat's History on the BP from the Inception through Various Re-Boots and Incarnations always seemed to me to be pretty much a constant .. I remember him regaling us back in the day with the stories of the annual Trips he and Ginny would take in their RV and how much fun they would have .. those stories just don't feel like so long ago ..

Stories of his time with the Rail Road, and more ..

All things considered, I liked Pat a lot .. we were "Brothers in Arms", we shared a Love of Pink Floyd and what folks call "Classic Rock" these days, among other things .. at his best, he was a Good Man, that loved life and made the absolute best of the cards he was dealt .. that's all any of us can do ..

Back when "Hang Outs" on Google were the Shizzle, sometimes, Patrick would join in .. those sessions always seemed to have him sitting in his "Vape Lab" like a Mad Scientist and making coils on camera ..

He shared Photos periodically, I remember some taken during his Youth that he was quite proud of ..

All in all, I think it's safe to say that, during the Good Times, Patrick and Ginny enjoyed Life to the fullest they could, with few regrets and many Good Memories .. which, at the end of it, is about all any of us can ask for .. in Todays World, their passing was at a relatively Young Age, yet it's Quality, sometimes, over Quantity ..

    Carpe Diem ..

Take a few moments with me and hum or sing along .. I'm sure most of you know the words ::
