Yeah, my hearing ain't the best either. The noise from the family-owned sawmill I had with 1st hubs years ago didn't help my hearing a bit.

What .. ?? :p

Yeah, back in the day, hearing protection was just un"heard" of .. while I don't yet wear a hearing aid, years of loud power tools, PA systems, etc, have done some damage .. and, as a bonus, I've suffered with tinnitus for a long, long time ..

My condolences. That would drive me nutty than I already am. I have particular trouble hearing people on the phone. I was dreading calling the phone company to arrange to have my phone/internet disconnected at the proper time because the move to my daughters is in a couple of weeks. I was so happy to get a guy that actually spoke Engish and even better, I heard him clearly.

    Good morning all.

When hubby forgets his hearing aids, I know it. He says the strangest things sometimes. I'll say "good morning, did you sleep well?" and he'll reply "you go to hell!" I have to stop, think about what I said, then ask him did he really believe I said what he thought I said? And then remind him to put his hearing aids in. His aids link up to his cell phone so he can carry on a conversation without the phone to his ear. So if I see him talking to himself I just hope he's on the phone. At our age I am always on the lookout for signs of impending doom (dementia).

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Welcome vsummer1. Yes, I agree the nic in the Juul is crazy if it's really true it's so high. You'd think vaping that strength would make people sick! I don't get it, but haven't looked into it myself. The only new thing we've tried is the Zenith topper. Twist the top open, fill the tank and twist it closed. The coil pops in so no more rebuilding. Works for me. I'm all about the KISS principal.

    Thank you Janet.
I'm still rebuilding my bottom feeder. I wonder if they make pop in coils for one of these? It's getting harder to see to coil these days

I've lived with the tinnitus for so long, you just get used to it .. with me, it's in the upper range of the sound spectrum .. the really odd part is, when I go to a Concert or other generally loud event, it goes away for a time afterwards ..

I've had glasses for distance since grade school but my close vision was always great til age stepped it. Hubs had several pairs of those dollar store glasses so I guess I'm all set,

Rewicking is easy for me, I still use the cotton bed under my coil. While I'm sure there are better methods out there, I'm not chasing clouds and it still works so I'm not fixing it. ;)

I recoil as little as possible. I still just burn mine off whenever I burn my cotton, then stuff some new cotton in and all is well. I'll use that coil until the poor thing gives out

Hi all, it's been a long time since I spent any time on here. I was curious as to how the heck could kids be vaping 50 mg of nicotine in the Juul. So I headed here to read up and learned there's stuff called nic salts now. So much has changed in the years I've been gone.

I've been content with my REOs, making my own juice.

Kay! It's so nice to see you, an old friend, here!

Well, what a nice surprise!!! This is a great hanging out place! I, too, am content with my REOS and hand-made juice!
What's that old saying? ...if it works...don't try to fix it.:D

Believe me, I know exactly what you mean. When I need to make appointments, I drive to the office (small town) to do it. I have a list of people I can hear clearly on the phone. Right now, it has two names on it.

I have boycotted the Big News Networks for some time now .. I still watch the Local News most every evening before I settle in with "Wheel of Fortune" or "Family Feud" ..

The Big News Networks, no matter who they are, just try and whip everyone into a frenzy, all the time .. I got sick of it .. bring back Walter Cronkite I say ..

"We are not educated well enough to perform the necessary act of intelligently selecting our leaders." .. Walter Cronkite
