Good afternoon everyone. Like others have already stated, it is the start of a new month. That time when I have to sit down and pay bills so I can know how much money I have left to live on. So glad that I have plenty of VG, PG, and Nicotine for making my own ejuice. That was a very worthwhile investment.
Thank you for reminding me. I just mixed some juice and need more VG!
Where do you buy yours? I'm always looking for a deal.

I just looked at Wizard Labs and My Freedom Smokes. I had points to use at MFS and opted for free shipping so it's the better deal on a liter of VG and a liter of 36 mg VG nic. Got both liters for $51.66 delivered. That will last me another 2 years. So about $25 per year. Love their points system for discounts!

edited to add: I hope this is allowed... it's been a long time so if it isn't oops, sorry!

the year is over the halfway point ..

That actually happened on June 21st, the summer solstice, aka MIDsummer :) That's when the sun reached it's highest point, and we had the longest daylight time, of the year. It's been going not as high since.

Lammas, around August 1 or 2, is, among other things a harvest festival. Can't be more "fall" than that!

The extra day needed to inflate the importance of August was taken from February, which originally had 29 days (30 in a leap year), and was now reduced to 28 days (29 in a leap year).
  • Since the months evenly alternated between 30 and 31 days, adding the extra day to August meant that July, August, and September would all have 31 days. So to avoid three long months in a row, the lengths of the last four months were switched around, giving us 30 days in September, April, June, and November."
I mostly just knuckle the months. Make a fist and every knuckle is a long month. Every valley is a short one. When you get to the little knuckle count it on the way down, and again on the way back.

I can't remember if it was PG or VG, but I last picked up a gallon at the TSC Store for around $10 bucks ..

We don't have one here, but next time we take a trip if we see one I'll certainly check it out. Thank you for the tip!

    Good morning :)
Good morning everyone (or whatever time of day it is where you are).

So the grandkids might be coming out, aged 1.5 and 4 years of age. Their mother thinks it would be grand if we 1) took the RV and went to the river, where we would rent a houseboat for a week 2) Go to Disneyland 3) Teach them to ride a motorcycle.

I say no to all of the above. Disneyland is a maybe, but really I'd save that until the little one is a bit older. Then she can actually go on the teacup ride or something instead of being pushed around in a stroller all day after being in a car 5 hours to get there. As to going to the river and renting a boat, buying one would be less expensive! And teaching them to ride a motorcycle? Has she lost her mind? Our bikes are Harleys and the smallest dirt bike is a 250.

I'm not saying one word. I'm going to let her think about what she is asking and hope she figures it out herself. Then we will take them to the family cabin at the lake which they have never been to (a 3 hour drive), rent a boat for a day (half the price at the river and one day is enough), and take them to the petting zoo. The rest of the time they can run around the large fenced yard full of nice trees.

That was interesting stuff about the calendar.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
I totally agree with you. What she's suggesting are inappropriate activities for kids that age. Hard to be a grandparent and keep your mouth shut, isn't it?

Been using that trick since I was a child!

Good morning. Today is my oldest child's 50th bday. Seems like yesterday when I was 17. Where does the time go?
Time passes quickly it seems. Happy Birthday to your oldest. My oldest will turn 54 on August 14th.

Good morning Bea, Rose and Fran. Kind of overcast here, but that's a good thing since I do want to pull some weeds.

Morning again to all:) Down to my daughters trying to put my crap away.

I think I missed something. Are you selling your house and moving in with your daughter permanently? I've had the impression that she's a couple hours from you?

There seems to be a disconnect between the idea and the reality of what can be done with children that age. She'll figure it out. In the meantime you'll all be together and make some memories.

Today is our daughter's 39th birthday. Her first born, Hux, was 3 on 7/21, but dad was away so we're having his party here tomorrow and we're going to have some surprises for her too. You're right, it was just a couple years ago she was in collage and now she's a mother with 2 kids. We must be in a time warp because it sure seems to be zipping by!

On 3/2/19 I bought a gallon each of PG and VG from Essential Depot for $62.39. I usually buy my PG&VG from them. The price has gone up considerably over the past few years, but when it's time to resupply they run sales often. It's free shipping and super quick delivery. There's 2 of us vaping so the gallon jugs work well and even though it may take 2 years to go through it all it's never gone bad.

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone has a good day today!

I got sick and bed bound again. They don't know why it happens or how to stop it. I just go along with it all knowing it never lasts forever.
Personally I think this bout was brought on by grief. 7/27 was the day I gave birth to my stillborn son Jude. We buried him on the 30th. He would have been 20 this year. I still miss him  Those of you with kids and grandchildren make sure to cherish them and know how lucky you are.
