Here is part of what I am smoking today. I will have to rearrange what is here so there is room for the poppers.

I have two older sisters. My mother lived on a small cattle farm in NE Oklahoma. We all left home after high school/college. When we could get a vacation we would return to the farm for a visit. While there, Mom would fix our favorites during our stay. My eldest sister lived in San Francisco and I was being transferred from Japan to a ship that was based in the San Francisco area. One thing we had in common was our love for Mom's blackberry cobbler. When she picked me up at the airport I told her I had something special that I had brought from Moms. When we got to her house she was really ready for what I had brought her. After getting unpacked I went out and handed her a picture of all of us sitting around the table eating blackberry cobbler and home-made ice cream. Then after a good laugh, me not her, I gave her a Tupperware container with a hearty piece of the blackberry cobbler. So, be careful what you ask for. o_Oo_O
Dinner was excellent, in a bit, I will go in and portion the remainder of the ribs, using the Seal-A-Meal and freeze them for meals at a later date.:rickroll:

Nope...not New Hope or Doylestown. West Reading/Wyomissing...where Taylor Swift grew up...;)

Afraid I don't have enough self-confidence to go up against the competition in a New Hope juried event.... Doing any of those kind of shows will have to wait until I can afford to do them. The old adage of "It takes money to make money" really applies. Been there, done that when I sculpted...;)

I have access to sites listing nearly every Art and Craft show in the US, and the marketing advice to have one really large painting as a centerpiece for my booth. The size making it not as likely to sell, but will draw people in to look at the rest.
    Does Goggleworks do shows?

Good morning David, Fran and Bea. There's a chill in the air. Are we getting ready for Fall already? We probably still have some hot weather coming, but the signs are there.

Our DIL was taken to the hosp by ambulance for what turns out to be a gall bladder obstruction. So, it looks like she's going to be having surgery this week. I'm so glad we're only an hour away because between the hospital and work our son has his hands full. We're picking up the boys from daycare today and we're having a sleep over here! We're not sure if this is going to stretch out to more days or not. Wish us luck!

Yes,they do shows from time to time, but...if the Fantasy Art show I went to see there is a representation of their shows...it would be way out of my league for a good time to come in the future. There were 3 floors of 'professional' artist booths that included the likes of Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell.

I'm still in such an early learning stage, I don't know that I would even call myself an 'amateur' artist yet...;)

How careful would I have to be, especially with no teeth . . .

Maybe the cobbler would be better . .. .

Just Sayin' . . .

    Hola .. :)

Generally speaking, and as a Self Professed "Rib Aficionado" .. these culinary delicacies prepared by an Experienced Rib Chef, (as I am quite sure Jerry is), don't really require much in the way of teeth in order to comfortably ingest .. "Just Sayin'" .. :)

On a side note, "Gangs of New York" is up on Netflix .. the picture and audio quality are excellent / BluRay quality .. although I have watched this film many times since it came out, I just stumbled across it last night while browsing and decided to watch it again ..

I consider it one of Martin Scorsese's Masterpieces and one of the Great American Films .. it will transport you to a time in History that in some ways, is not much different than the time we currently live in .. well worth your attention, especially if you have never seen it .. Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis and Cameron Diaz just add icing to the story cake .. .. Warning :: It can be quite graphic at times ..

:thumb: You're absolutely correct - as usual, however I was looking for a little "sympathy", especially so I could get some of that cobbler too . . .

I KNOW I Could Eat That - with or without teeth . . .

@Janet H prayers are being said for your daughter-in-law and your whole family.
@Uncle my sisters got the cooking genes from Mom. Somethings I can cook, cobblers and cakes not too much.
@Uncle @Uncle Willie my smoking skills are still being improved. I am far from a master, just a hobbyist.

Oh, I'm sure you're pretty good at it .. I have flirted with buying a smoker several times, but just abide by hitting my favorite rib joint when I'm Jonesing ..

There is a hole in the wall place in Memphis, with smokers that look like they are 100 years old and never been cleaned .. they specialize in Ribs and Home Made Tamales, believe that ..

Pork ribs for me, please .. don't care for beef ribs, give me the swine ..

Just looked at my Post and realized I used smoker and joint .. it's just tough to roll Ribs in a paper .. o_O

Pass me a plate of those pork ribs AND the tamales...

Eons ago, when I would take my Christmas candies and cookies in to work. one of the other dealers, who happened to be Latino, would bring me some of her homemade tamales, a Christmas tradition in her family... So darn yummy!
