Good morning Fran, Bea, Yiddle and Rose and whoever else is up, but not functioning yet. Gorgeous morning here today. Our daughter and her babies were here for the day yesterday so I didn't get much morning weeding done. We spent the day inside playing with Legos once it started raining so that was fun and the rain is going to help me harvest the carrots and onions today. Looks like Hux has truly accepted his baby brother because I said something about him being my grandson and Hux corrected me saying no, Brody is HIS baby.

Just finished another little painting....

Very nice job Yiddle! I especially like the way you've captured the clouds. It's a lovely, peaceful scene.

Good Morning/Afternoon everybody. The remaining of my vape mail was delivered today. Replacement glass, drip tips, insulators, and replacement post. Now I won't have to worry about the Kayfuns for a while. I'm still praying for all my friends on the east coast, stay safe.

Hola .. :)

I'm a person who really likes to know what the deal is .. the worst thing for me, if I happened to be in "The Cone Of Uncertainty", would be the apparent limbo in not knowing for certain what the deal is .. o_O

Just the term "The Cone Of Uncertainty" is so nebulous ..

Stay Safe, my Friends .. Stay Safe ..

Good afternoon, Loungers! :)

Been a bit preoccupied lately...as if you don't know why! ;)

Everything is secured, daughter and sil are here, and food is quite plentiful, including some verboten snacks....but, what would a hurricane party be without them?! ;)

Everyone in the neighborhood is accounted for with adequate supplies and now the waiting begins......we should expect tropical storm bands in the range of 40-75mph starting at 3 am and lasting approx. 12 hours.....

Because I cannot tolerate the noise of that wind, I have my ear buds ready, then my ear phones on top of them, and burying my head in the pillow that will accompany me and daughter in one of the interior closets on Yoga mats with our dogs Gussy and Abby! :) Husband is free to join me!;)

Tell "Us" all about it . . . 1st approximately 3 - 4 weeks out it is the notice of activity off the African Continent and a possible hurricane is headed your way - then by the 2nd week it's it is moving towards the area where you are / suggestions of are you prepared yet - after that it is getting closer then they expected - warning to make sure you are prepared, just in case - then 1 week or 7 days out it becomes a daily report during a regular newscast as it keeps coming closer . . . WARNINGS to take it seriously/warning to be prepared, especially before the rush to the stores to get everything you need . . . Then 4 to 3 days before - usually every hour on the hour/half hour starts "Breaking NEWS" / GET PREPARED - Get food water gas . . . AND - Then 24 - 48 hours before it really starts, the all day, every day, 24 hour a day NEWS Reports on every single channel - IT"S COMING IT"S COMING - are you READY . . . CLOSE EVERYTHING UP - Put Up Window Shutter/Board Up Windows - Remove All "Stuff" outside - HUNKER DOWN . . . Flooding - HIGH winds - Trees Down - No Electricity . . . Do You Stay - Do You Evacuate - Stay Where You Are - Evacuate to a shelter - Evacuate . . . Roads will be closed - can't get out if you wait to long . . . Who NEEDS to Evacuate, Evacuation Zones, and When each Zone NEEDS to Evacuate . . . Oh Wait - Then there is all the repeated changes . . . Hurricane is moving away - No It's coming Closer . . . Only Tropical Storm - Hurricane Winds - Hurricane Getting Stronger . . . WORSE HURRICANE in History . . . Let alone - the cabin fever before and after the storm (especially if Ya' live alone) . . . So Yea - Tell "Us" about it . . . The "Anticipation" of living in a "Cone Of Uncertainty" is more then just being "nebulous", no matter how long Ya' live in an area like this one . . . I honestly, don't wish this situation on anyone, however it is what is expected when you decide to live an area that a "Cone Of Uncertainty" is the norm . . . AND - Although there are still many reports and "Breaking News" updates - THANKFULLY - Dorian went by "Us' and life as "We" know it goes on (unless it decides to make a u-turn, which has been known to happen in recent years). . . So now it's time to put all the batteries, Lanterns/Flash lights, Battery Operated Fans, Emergency radio, Cooler, Sterno Stove w/ Sterno, Unpack the suitcase w/ a Weeks Clothing -Toiletries, put away a months supplies of medications - all to wait until the next time for a "Cone of Uncertainty" and make sure "You" Are Ready . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

BTW: Thanks for letting "Me" get that off "My" Chest - It's Been A Very, Very Long Two Weeks . . .

Hey - a funny thing is, it's not bad enough that I live in Florida an have to live with hurricanes coming and going, I was actually in the "Cone of Uncertainty" up in NYC when "Sandy" decide to come there and hit the northeast coast - NOT NICE . . .

So - Given that "Dorian" has decided to go North. . .

I Hope EVERYONE in it's path is "Prepared" and Will Make Sure to Stay Safe . . .

Thankfully it looks like Florida dodged a major bullet! Dorian has stayed out in the Atlantic, now the forecast is further out. We got home today from 2 weeks in Kentucky, nothing we could do from there.

Got home today. Drove through a few miscellaneous bands of rain, but no real wind. Supposed to be nice (but hot) the next few days. These storms seem to suck all the moisture out with them. Now to watch the next few disturbances out there. Weather is so crazy. This is the 4th year in a row our son, with the Florida National Guard, has been activated for a hurricane in Florida. They were sent to the panhandle last year and it was very sad and scary. I just hope people don't get lax and continue to prepare and stay prepared!

Pray it stays away from the entire coastline!

Boo-hoo !
One of those Smok Minis I got doesn't work
It reads 0.00 no matter what I do and no matter what I put on it.
I can go through the menu...reset things...nada.
Won't fire.

So, I hear something blue is coming your way after all. Nice! :thumb:

Good morning everyone. Hoping Gracie made out ok during the night and is sleeping peacefully now. It's funny, but earlier this week I texted my sister and said I was glad she no longer lived in Ft. Myers and now lives in South Carolina... She'll be ok though because she's well inland.
