It had been near a year and a half since I last really detailed the Avalanche .. I'm talking q-tip out the vents, Armor All the rubber gaskets, Wax on Wax off, clean and condition the leather, take the junk out of the trunk and power wash that, Rainex the windows, shampoo the carpet, etc .. so, a week ago Sunday I started .. postponing the yard mow a few days (which I really ended up regretting since it's growing like crazy) ..
Finally finished yesterday afternoon .. "Winter is Coming", so I just had to get it done .. what used to take a day now seems to require two .. but, in all fairness, it really needed it ..
Will be firing up the grill in a bit for a Cookout .. hope all of you have a nice Labor Day although who knows about our Friends in the Great State of Florida and along the Southern East Coast ..
I plan on being 3 sheets to the wind by 5 or 6 O'clock ..
After resting up and taking a shower, I watched "Bohemian Rhapsody" for about the third time .. I have to rank this up among the best Rock Movies ever made .. cranked it up to 11 during the final Live Aid medley ..
I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes

I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through

I'll add .. one of my favorite "Queen" tunes is "Radio Gaga" .. not only is it just a great song, but myself being a Fan of Real Radio, the kid that would run that beige mono earphone from my transistor Radio late at night, in the dark, when I was supposed to be sleeping .. clandestinely poring over the AM dial for some nugget .. I just relate to this song so much ..
