We, too dodged the Dorian bullet! We're sitting outside enjoying the cool air and watching the clouds go by. Fascinating & beautiful!
Didn't even have to sleep in the closet!!

Actually the winds weren't bad at all; no more than what we get in our regular rainfalls, but we are getting rain bands now!
We have been warned, however, to not get too complacent!

We"re about 1.5 miles from the ocean, and they have a webcam set up at the beach.. fascinating video.

Hoping all my fellow Floridians stay safe!

I talked to Kay this morning. She came through the surgery just fine, and is home recuperating. Her Granddaughter is there and taking good care of her. She misses everyone and said she just isn't up to one finger pecking the keyboard yet, but sends her love to all.

Thanks for the update. Given that it was shoulder surgery I figured it would be hard for her to type, but I was just worried about how it went and if she was home so thank you.

I like the Pico X that I bought. Today, I found out that they bounce really nice. However, they don't like it. The down button does not work now. Later, I will take it apart and see what might have happened inside it. Time will tell.

Thank you so much for the phone calls and the posts!

I didn't think I'd be able to type yet, but so far it's working! I'm healing pretty good so far, haven't had to take too much pain meds! I thought that I'd have to one-finger peck with my right hand as I'm left-handed and had the surgery on the left shoulder...so far ..so good!!!


...I just erased the whole thing I'd typed...
Anyway...my future plan is to come visiting some of you this winter..my bro now lives somewhere in Fl. , so that's a good starting point!

I'll call it Odyssey Revisited

Nothing catches my eye like hot air balloons! I have pictures, marquetry and etched glass of them in my house. I was even fortunate enough to see the balloon races in Albuquerque one year. Great painting!!
