Tell me about it!

$125.00!!!!!!!!

And I have Medicare...

plus BC/BS!

FYI:

Just in-case "insurance" is not covering prescription according to their formulary - Ask your Doctor/Pulmonologist (breathing Dr. is much better) to send in a Pre-authorization for the prescription to possibly be fully covered.

Also From the internet:

AstraZeneca offers a Symbicort $25 Guarantee Program on its website. According totheir terms, eligible patients can receive discounts that translate into no more than $25 in out-of-pocket expenses for each fill of their prescription, up to 12 fills.

"SYMBICORT SAVINGS OFFER
You Could Get Your Prescription

FREE* for up to One Year
*Subject to eligibility rules for commercially insured patients, restrictions apply."

Oh YEA - Check this Google search for more info too:

Specifically this one and for all your perscriptions:

Hope information is helpful . . . :D

Hey - "Us" OLDER People - NEED to stick together . . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

AH - Yes . . . Every 3 months - never ever get use to it, always hurts, especially when they have to try to find a vein more then once . . . Black & Blue for 2-3 weeks . . .

I've been very fortunate to get good sticks for quite awhile now. Hardly felt it at all. Of course, after trying to give blood once and not being able to fill the bag in the allotted time I drink extra water during the day and it really does seem to help. So far my veins themselves have not caused any problems.

OOh, that was a real ooops! Yep, we all be early for good birthday wishes!:lol: We love you right back!
Last time I had blood work done, the 'needle person' LOL) told me I was dehydrated and to make sure the next time, drink plenty of water for two days prior to being stuck with that needle.
I usually drink 64 oz a day, but then, for some reason, wasn't getting my full of H20. Have blood work scheduled for next week, so we shall see!![/QUOTE]

Good luck next week. Hope all goes well.

@Kenna I'm fine thanks for asking. Glad your RA is not making you miserable.

@Janet H what kind of bed did you get this time?

Edit: Got my answer for the "thing" :D

After much thought (and encouragement from our daughter) we ended up getting the split Tempurpedic one. We both read in bed and since I read sitting up and Mike always goes to sleep first this works so we don't disturb each other. It's really helped reduce our aches and pains. Somebody told me these beds are used to help eliminate bed sores so that's a good advertisement. It's the last bed we're ever going to have and it helps that we have 3 years interest free to pay it off.

It's still morning, so...

Good morning everyone!

Off to the Dr's in a little while..i'm now up to five "scripts and a Nebulizer...

had to go to Urgent Care yesterday...got a Cortisoid shot in my ....!!! And a 'script for a Symbicort inhaler. They told me there that I need to see a Pulmonologist..

I turned 75 last year ...n I'm falling apart!!

Oh well, there's a lot of folks a lot worse off than me...and a lot younger! So...NOT complainin'... just explainin" :)

It's certainly true that getting old is not for sissies! You already have a pulmonologist right? Hopefully they can help make you feel better.

Same with - Advair (2x's daily), Sprivia (once at night) every day . . .

AND - Now using Trelegy (thankfully 1 x a Day at Night and so much better breathing) . . .

Almost all of them are almost $300.00 if not more for a months supply . . .

BTW: Just in case Ya' don't know - there is also a NEED to rinse mouth to cleans plate and remove left over powder residue & taste . . .

YES - Very expensive, especially when taking both Advair/Sprivia every month - but thankfully they were covered by "insurance" and now Medicare . . .

BTW:
If insurance does not cover the cost for any prescription you have - and you qualify - you can always get help through the manufactures and/or applying at >

Also: help paying for prescriptions on medicare - Google Search

Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Hope this information is helpful to everyone . . . :D

.

What about Good Rx? Might that help? Or if you can get a generic that works? (maybe Good Rx only does generic?)

Hola .. :)

Not to be nosy, Janet, however, a while back I went thru "new mattress angst" and quizzed the Gang here .. Bea was in the process of getting a new one at the time and you were the owner of a Sleep Number for a good long time if my notes are correct .. wondering what happened with the Sleep Number that prompted a new mattress .. ??

    Hiya, Gracie :)

    I was wondering something????
Have you ever heard of Billy Joel and do you like him?
Allentown is among my favorites...thanks for posting.
By the way, I think I would make a good Lounge Lizard, as in days gone by, I LOVED to go dancing all night long. Now, I'm in bed an hour before I used to get ready to go out! :w00t:

Wedding Day! Just waiting for my daughter to be ready to leave for a day of running around, setting up for her wedding, and the finale: Her Wedding!

    Any minute now.

Must be a good day for a wedding. We're going to one at 5:30 today.

Mike and I were both starting to have problems sleeping and were stiff when we got up. I checked my records and found that our mattress was 30 years old. No wonder I was buying toppers to soften it up. I like a pillow top and I'd slept on a foam mattress a couple times and loved it. The thing with the foam is that you have to watch out for the density. The higher density the better, but I didn't want to feel like I was sleeping on a board. This one is the medium hardness and has a nice soft topper on it and it's lower than our other bed making it easier to get in and out of. The other thing is that I wanted a king size bed. We're not getting any younger and between us, all our pillows and the cats...

Not to jump into your conversation. Just wanted to say, I have a bed that I will soon need a stool to get into, as it sits so high. It's an adjustable, and the base seems like it's 10' tall! Did you like your sleep number?
