Good morning Fran and Kat and whoever else is functioning. It's rainy here and only going to 55 today. I've brought in any plants that can be wintered over so looking out at the deck is empty and looking sad. I'm already thinking of Spring and what plants I'm going to get.

I brought in my plants, too and deck looks naked. I know exactly what you mean. I spend as much time out there in the nice weather, with my plants, coffee, sometimes a book, and listen to all the chitter chatter of the little critters and birds. Hoping for an Indian summer, so I can, at least, have a few more coffee breaks out there before winter sets in. :)
    Oh, and Good morning :)

    Good morning, Anise :)
    Love your fur baby
Thanks Katmar! She's been gone from us for many years now but Anise was very special to us and we still miss her horribly. We keep her alive in our hearts.

The biggest downfall to having fur babies. They steal our hearts, don't they? And, never too late to tell you I am sorry for your loss. Lost 2 of my sweeties 3 years ago and I still grieve. Yours was beautiful....:)

Morning, lizards. Rain continues, as does the snow at elevation (still way above us, although the chains did go back in the trunk ;) )

They definitely steal our hearts! Thank you. We certainly thought she was beautiful :)
I'm sorry for your loss. To lose two around the same time must have been difficult. I see you have a cute fur baby! Is that a new one or one you lost?

We got her a year before we lost the other 2. She saved us. And, yes, it WAS difficult and still is, as you well know. This one, (Maddy) is a bundle of love and cuteness...

    'Morning everyone...:)

Yesterday afternoon, Daughter, Grandson...now a teenager with a mouth full of braces, all grown up Granddaughter, and I, went to see 'Maleficent'. I promised to tell if I enjoyed it, and as a lifetime lover of Disney films....yes! I hate reading reviews, as I prefer to decide for myself whether a film is good or not, so I'm not going to give you a full review. It's a fairy tale after all...;), with bits of humor, and a moral lesson.

It seems that my entire life, my family, children, and grandchildren have taken much delight in making fun of my sniffling attempts to keep tears from spilling when watching a movie. I have always been and remain, unapologetically, tenderhearted. The 'spoiler' is for those of the same ilk who may go to see the movie...

I didn't cry this time, but instead saved my Granddaughter from the same ridicule by leaning over and whispering..."Remember...the phoenix always arises again from it's ashes"

Hello everyone ... I haven't been on ECF since last Wednesday ... shew I'm finally caught up. Those stocking up threads sure have a lot of traffic ... and you folks haven't been too shabby here in the lounge either.

    Hola .. :)

.. wondering what happened with the Sleep Number that prompted a new mattress .. ??

The old one didn't have dual remote controls to adjust the head and foot of each side of the bed separately. Nor built in night lights under the frame for those frequent 'get up and go' moments throughout the night.

That may well be my next bed. Thanks a lot.
I see you are from Pa. Which part? As you can see, I'm from Pittsburgh. Well, about 20 miles north. Born and raised here. A real nomad, I am....

Welcome to the Lounge @Katmar. Looks like you've settle in quite well here and even met some old friends here.

    Good morning, Loungers! :)

Although we have live oaks that do shed their leaves right about now, we still have the best of both worlds.

he, he ... Janet and I were in San Diego during the Christmas season once upon a time when our daughter was living on Coronado Island. It was very, very strange walking around in shorts, t-shirt and sandals and seeing all the Christmas decorations and lights in the shopping district and houses. It just didn't feel 'normal'.
