That's so nice that your day was so lovely for a wedding. Was it outside?
Yes, in a pavillion at Brackenridge Park. My youngest brother was the DJ.

It wasn't fancy. But, kind of halfway fancy. Just enough to create a wonderful atmosphere. And make for some wonderful pictures, hopefully. Certainly lots of pics were taken. Can hardly wait to see them all.

My son (Sean) just dropped off all the chairs from the wedding and should be here any minute to pick me up. He and his son are visiting today before they go back to Ft. Worth. And Rachel is going back to Scotland tomorrow.

    Later!

So glad you enjoyed yourself......been thinking about you and a belated 'wondering how you're feeling......hoping good, cause you sound it.
Thanks for asking. I'm back to my normal self. I had a recheck EKG on Monday and it was perfect. The cardiologist stated that both the afib and PVC can return at any time. But no issues at the moment so we'll cross that bridge if/when we need to :)

For a long time the weddings we attended seemed like they were trying to out-do each other. Yes, they were very nice, but the ones we liked best were the ones that were "halfway fancy". Those just seemed more special and intimate somehow, even with a lot of people attending.

The only really dressed up people were the people in the wedding party. Everyone else was kind of business casual. They got married in a little spot lower than the pavilion, with trees around and the river flowing behind them.

The only decorations in the pavilion were a simple string of lights all the way around and some very simple, casual flowers on the tables/picnic benches. I was really amazed at how well that simple string of lights created the atmosphere.

And, the food was Taco Cabana.

It was simple, very sweet, and lots of fun.

Having a brother who could DJ also made a big difference.

Good morning Fran and Kat and whoever else is functioning. It's rainy here and only going to 55 today. I've brought in any plants that can be wintered over so looking out at the deck is empty and looking sad. I'm already thinking of Spring and what plants I'm going to get.
