Good morning, Loungers!

Have to take our Abby to the vet today....late yesterday she had 4 seizures and the poor thing was so disoriented afterwards and she wouldn't leave my side for a minute once she came to. Last month, she had one, so we took her to the vet then, and she said it may be a one time occurrence, but keep an eye out and record the times, etc. We suspected then that she had bitten into a Cuban tree frog since they are toxic to dogs if the dog tries to play with it........well, it's been a month and now she had a cluster of 4.
Being a black lab, she is more susceptible to seizures and may have idiopathic, but jeez, how I hate to see her like that.

Sorry for such a downer for a morning post, but it is what it is!

Oh no ... best wishes for her recovery and get this under control.

Aww, Gracie, so sorry. Hopefully, they will be able to control them. I know you don't want her to have pheno, but, please trust me when I tell you they work VERY well in dogs. I was SO pleased with how it worked on several of my dogs. And hoping it's nothing serious. Sending out love and hugs to you, Hubs and Abby :wub::wub:

This reminds my of my last duty station - in Germany it was. We had so many people sent to Viet Nam that we were down to seven people. We said 'good night' by the numbers - except one Japanese - Hawaiian. Go! must be Japanese for five, because he was the fifth person and that's what he always said.
Correct...:) Many moons ago, when I was a BJ/21 dealer and Harrahs was bringing in junkets from Japan, I felt particularly bad when they were so very polite, but sometimes losing their money simply because they didn't know that an Ace could be counted as 1 or 11. I asked my husband to teach me how to count in Japanese, so that I could at least convey an Ace was ichi (one) or juuichi (eleven)...
Once you learn the first ten numbers, it's easy to count much higher...;)

Good morning, all. Don't ask me why I am up so early. My bones don't care for cold weather.

Oh, Gracie, I'm so sorry to hear about Abby. I hope it is something simple. I will keep your family in my prayers along with white light and positive thoughts.

You have no idea how much I wish I had a 'normal'...;) I seem to be eternally attempting to be a daytime person, to no avail. I can get up early, stumble through most of the day like a zombie, start to come alive as the sun goes down....get engrossed in something and end up cycling back to being nocturnal once again...o_O

Not even sure what normal is anymore. But, as I age, I am guessing that "normal" is whatever we are living, unless caused by illness :)

I can't seem to sleep for more than 5 to 5 1/2 hours ... then I'm up but not awake. Always feel like I could use at least another hour but trying to go back to sleep just doesn't work. And even those sleep hours are interrupted for 'pee time' calls. Sheesh, getting old has it's trials and tribulations but it beats the alternative.

    Hola .. :)

My nightly Clonazepam and/or "substance" does the trick and takes the edge off the new day .. (to further stay mellow, I also quit the 24 Hour "News" Channels) .. :)

Many the time I've thought, "You know, Willie, keeping a box of Depends on hand for night's you just don't want to get up and hit the bathroom might be a solution .."

Ahh, another soulmate. It's always been a struggle to live with all these "day" people.

I just got home from shopping and have a pot of chicken and noodles on the stove for dinner. When my daughter is on the way home from work, I will put some rolls in the oven.
I have decided on my costume for giving out candy to the little ones tonight. I'm going as a crotchety old man. I wish everyone a good evening with all of the ghosts, goblins, princesses, and superheroes tonight. May you not run out of candy and if you have any leftover I hope it is the kind you like to eat.

Not even Alprozolam (in the same class as you Clonazepam) will help me sleep more than 5 to 6 hours. Say, I thought you were weaning yourself from the Clonazepam. How's that going or not. Or perhaps this isn't the 'space' to talk about it.
