@classwife ....it popped up in the middle of a page I was reading....I skimmed too quickly and clicked it off.. When I tried to find it again to more closely read it, I couldn't....so thank you for posting the info here. Probably doesn't matter, but I'm using the new theme.

When folks in this Great Country are simply not safe, when you attend an event that is there to entertain you and allow you to just have a good time and enjoy yourself .. when innocent Children attending school are not safe .. when Good Hearted religious folks are gathering and it's not safe, and the list goes on .. it is more that just a tragedy .. it is an attack on our core fundamentals of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness .. and, perhaps, that's what the deranged individuals that perpetrate this violence intend .. Make no mistake, these criminals are Terrorists, because, by definition, they instill Terror ..

Can these things be fully prevented .. ?? I have always said, probably not .. yet, can things be done to tighten up who gets a weapon .. ?? Without impinging unduly on the rest of us .. ?? I think so ..

I carry a card that has NRA emblazoned on it .. if their response is as it has been in the Past, I am sending it back ..

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has seven pages of rules about ladders, which kill 300 people a year .. Yet the federal government doesn’t make a serious effort to reduce gun deaths .. with a toll more than 100 times as high .. why .. ?? Because the NRA has the real power ..

My thoughts as well. Hard enough to locate a shooter in a "canyon" of buildings when you can (sort of) track the sound.

What I heard a commentator say this morning was, Face it this is the world we live in today. Also a Right to Carry state. His father was an armed robber at one time on the FBI's most wanted list.

10 Day outlook is showing temps beginning to get back into the Normal range for Fall .. some rain forecasts, nothing better than a 60% chance ..

Yesterday, I spent the day outdoors, mowing/mulching the dead leaf layer .. not Fall Color, just caused by drought .. I was covered in dirt/dust .. spent the rest of the day working on my Garden Shed, which I'm almost done refurbishing ..

I have friends from my years in the casinos, who went back to Nevada and Vegas. I've been frantically reaching out to see if all are well. My friend Tona, in particular, as I know what a big country music fan she is. Happy to say I made contact....she and her trike are presently in Carson City...
