I don't really like velveeta…EXCEPT…in this salsa recipe…I think it's been on the velveeta box for years. Mix one box velveeta with One jar salsa. Microwave until cheese is melted snd stir to blend. Yummy!!!AH - IMHO - While "Velvetta" is alright at times (melts very nicely - great to use w/Rotela & other dips) . . . But once again - IMHO - No way does it comes close or replace the texture/flavor and especially the Cheddar taste - nor "mouth" feel of "Government Cheese" : . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Well - Then Ya' gotta try Velveeta & Ro -Tel Dip aka easy "Queso" - very similar . . . Just mix Velveeta & 1 can of Ro- Tel and microwave until Cheese is melted and mix again . . . GREAT - For Nacho or w/just Nacho Chips - well any chips really, Cut up vegetables, & Crackers too . . . BTW:There are a number of other recipes you can find online using this dip with different additives, like Sausage/Chicken, Cooked Veggies, Rice, etc. too . . . Makes a really nice casserole for a quick dinner . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Good morning Bea. We've got a very rainy day today and probably tomorrow as well. Fortunately we're not scheduled for any snow until Wednesday, but the ground will be pretty warm so that snow won't stay. That's a good thing for people running around doing Christmas shopping (like me).
Sadly, still no chance of snow here. Storm headed in for late tomorrow and the next two days, so maybe the mountains will get some then.
Yay! I am back in business with a working deep freeze! It is plugged in getting down to temperature. Now to get busy getting my shopping list together.

Deep freeze a comin' .. puttered around in the yard some yesterday, leaves and small branches picked up .. it was nice to be out ..
Although I don't recall my Family ever scoring that famous "Government Cheese", I did not totally miss out .. back in the day, I used to frequent a diner (AKA Greasy Spoon), where the owner (you know, the guy with the apron that had not been washed in a month) would buy blocks from folks and slab off a thick piece to use on cheeseburgers .. to this day, I believe those were the best cheeseburgers I ever ate .. and never once did I contract Salmonella ..
Back then, I don't think hamburger had yet been separated into Grades .. like today, where you can get 80% lean, etc .. back then it was all probably 50% meat, 50% fat ..
On a side note, I don't really like the lean hamburger .. it just seems kind of tasteless ..

I'm so tired of this, but on a positive note, the last two who have come through have inquired if my paintings are for sale. The person yesterday wanted to know if I did larger ones and what would I sell them for. Told him I haven't reached the point of pricing...yet. I'm taking that as positive signs that "if" ...I do get to do that show next spring, I might actually make a few sales...

My last couple days were mostly spent troubleshooting computer problems. And I do have a nice sized knot on my head to show for it. I'm also certain I popped many many brain cells in the process.

Let me suggest you wear a paint-splattered apron, make sure your hair is disheveled/possibly wear a beret or even better, a turban and develop a limp while the Prospects are Perusing the Property ..

You all haven't seen me lately... Hair is short and more often than not disheveled...it's also a lovely shade of orchid... Daughter and granddaughter wanted me to go 'purple'... which I have a particular aversion to... I was thinking more of pink, so we compromised. Have berets, no turban, and no apron, but most of my shirts and pants have a plethora of paint marks. As to commissions....it's 50%, non-refundable down, the balance at completion...price based on size of canvas and subject matter... Too many tales by artists who ended up stuck with a large painting and holding the bag for the time and expenses of creating it...

That's been pretty much how I roll for many, many years .. I don't care if you're Elon Musk's best Friend or Musk himself .. I learned pretty fast that many Musicians are flakey .. just too easy to get caught holding the financial bag after putting all the work and materials into it ..
Sorry i didn't check in today. My 87 year old parents are in town and we drove across the lake yesterday afternoon and after running some errands we drove back this afternoon. I hope everyone had a good day today!
Didn't get any shopping done, but I did get the thumbprint cookies made. After dinner I just got lazy, but tomorrow is another day.
YEP - It Is . . . Just don't forget to get them done, Ya' got to get "My" box of cookies in the mail before Saturday, so they are here before Christmas . . . Especially, those wonderful Oatmeal Raisin cookies . . . Just Sayin' . . .
