    Hola .. :)

And so the Second Decade of the New Century draws to a close .. I don't know why, but last night I was thinking about the Y2K lead up and bru-ha-ha around that non-event ..

I think it was around late 2010 that I stumbled upon ECF and lurked .. I'd bought an njoy kit and was quite unhappy with it, especially since it had cost well over $100 clams ..

As I look back, it's been a Decade of ups and downs for me, with the one constant being my Friends here on ECF .. we've collectively seen deaths, births, tragedies, joy, pain, and pretty much the whole gamut of the Human Condition .. here we remain, and here I hope we stay until we can stay no more ..

Yes, I will probably catch an UBER tonight and tip back a few for “Auld Lang Syne” (times gone by) .. Really, I did not foresee the day that I would not drive myself, but such is life .. In those "Times Gone By", NYE was always one of my favorite nights, always hit a nice event, have a nice meal and Dance .. we were meant to Dance, I think .. with things such as they are these days with me, shuffling may be replacing actual Dancing ..

If you can, take your Significant Other and spin up your favorite "belly rubbing" tune, as Randall F. (txtumbleweed) used to say .. it does not matter if you are in the living room, just hold each other and look one another in the eyes as you think back to the many years that have gone by .. if you have no Significant Other, raise a glass and say the names of those that are gone but not forgotten ..

But do, please do, Celebrate another Decade gone by in some small way .. we are all only given so many ..

    Nice thoughts, Willie:wub:

Regardless of how many I have left I am still happy to close the books on what has easily been the worst year of my life.

Yes, Frannie .. I know .. try and see it as a Decade, not just a year .. regardless, you can at least wave goodbye to 2019 in the rear view .. or, knowing you, flip off 2019 ..

Yes,the wait is on for the flip off to 2019. IMO it doesn’t deserve a wave,

Hadn't even thought of it in terms of a decade. A lot has happened now that I think of it. We didn't have any grandchildren 10 years ago and we didn't start vaping til 2011 which means we didn't know about ECF until then. Those years sure did fly by. We've lost friends and gained some during those years and I can't help but wonder what the next 10 years will bring. Hopefully much more good than bad!!

Did you have to remind me I'm a decade older ... I kind of like to think of it as just a year older. But then maybe I am a decade older. As instead of going out partying, I'll likely wind up in bed reading of all things Walden Pond. Goodness he's a wordy author takes 3 pages to say what could be said in 3 sentences. It's one of those books I always said I'd read one day ... well that day came a couple weeks back ... almost finished it now.

Good morning and WELOME 2020! I'm a wimp. Couldn't keep my eyes open past 11:30 so it happened without me. Looks like it didn't need my help after all. So, today is our tradition to have pork and sauerkraut. It's supposed to bring good luck and I guess it's mostly worked for us over the years so it's probably wise to not mess with success.
