Snow is staying up where it belongs, and is needed. We did have a break from the rain yesterday, but more heading in.

Geordi and I went to a UKC (United Kennel Club) dog show this weekend. Just down the road a piece, so perfect. He was almost 1/2 way to his UKC Championship going into the weekend. Had 50 points (need 100) and 1 "wins with competition" (beat other dogs - need 3). After this weekend we now have 90 points and all our "wins with competition".
What's the big deal? This championship will be the 3rd organization he is a CH in. We only need 10 points, now to find a local UKC show. There should be some this summer driving distance away...

WTH is wrong with people? I just had to exit the art group I belong to...Australia is burning, people have died, they're breathing air full of ash, millions of animals have died...

As you can imagine, a post with such skewed priorities went off the rails with mud slinging from both sides... and up until now it had been such a friendly , international group of people...

Awful how some people don't have their priorities straight. It will affect our business - I braid show leads out of lace made from kangaroo hide imported from Australia. I am way more concerned about the situation as opposed to "stocking up!!". If that end of the business goes away, we will still survive. They farmed the kangaroos, but many of the farms are now gone. Will take years to rebuild (if ever). Those poor animals, what an horrible way to die. I have friends (Belgian owners) there and I worry about them every day.
