Perhaps arsonists should be burned at the stake. Word would spread... that if one really likes fires that much, one is waiting.

Good morning.

Good question Yiddle, I heard this morning that a whole mess of people have been arrested for starting many of the fires! WTH!!! People have died or lost everything not to mention all the animals that have been killed.
A whole mess of evil! I would like to know what type of punishment these evil ones will have......
There was/is a world wide petition for prayers to be said at specific times. Each country has its own timetable assigned.

It is absolutely unconscionable and so very very sad!

'Morning everyone...

Thank goodness, the mods stepped in and closed it down from any further comments. It's a very large group with artists from around the globe participating, so of course there are many from Australia, whom I'm sure were upset by the insensitivity of the person who started it off. According to the Aussie artists, only a few of the fires were arson, and those have been either contained or put out. They're just heading into their hot season, record breaking heat and drought.. and bush fires have been caused by dry lightning and other occurrences in nature...

Good morning! We had a brief snow blizzard a little while ago. Very pretty. We were supposed to get 1-3" of snow last night - turned out to be a dusting. What was on the deck was very crunchy when I went out to put suet in the feeder. Brrr.

Spring will start in 72 days.

Still warm and rainy here, although as the weekend approaches they are talking about light snow perhaps down to 300', which would be almost 300' below us. Of course, there have been times when they've predicted a dusting and we've gotten a foot...

I take that as any less impact on blood pressure.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE - Posted this elsewhere, but thought I should also share & post here too . . . :D

FYI:

Discussion concerning USPS Signature Requirements for "NIC" Products:

Even for those who are already signed up or know . . . I just found out that USPS not only has "Informed Delivery" - Get Daily email notices of images that are of what letters/packages are being delivered to you every day . . . They now provide the ability to submit an electronic signature to release a package at your residence that is required to be signed for . . . The signature you provide stays on file for 1 year, then needs to be renewed yearly . . . which would circumvent any regulations being enacted about "Adult" sig requirments for "NIC" Products . . . However, I would not suggest this if you live in an Apartment complex with unsecured mail areas, but for people who are not home and expecting a delivery of "NIC" Products - bet this would be very helpful . . . Just Sayin' . . .

 OH - And BTW: You can also order the Free Priority Mail/Express Boxes and Priority Mail Tape (Label 106) online at no cost and even have them delivered for free too . . .

Thanks for the info. That could be very helpful. Mike just ordered something and the company indicated that it "might" need a signature. He looked into it and it turned out that no sig was required, but still. In the past we've adjusted our schedules a time or 2 knowing that something was likely to show up that needed a sig.

Really do hope it is helpful . . . However, since it is being discussed even further whether or not that it would also not be for packages requiring an "Adult Signature" in the other thread, I just posted this info I got from an USPS confirmation email there:

FYI: Just got confirmation email from USPS about the Electronic Signature . . .
Here is a copy of the main portion of email:

You have successfully enrolled in USPS Electronic Signature Online™.

With this new feature that is integrated with your Informed Delivery® service, you can:

  • Apply an Electronic Signature only to packages that ship via Priority Mail Express®, require Signature Confirmation™, or are insured for over $500.
  • Get packages delivered right to your mailbox once you've applied your signature.
  • Set delivery preferences for larger packages that don't fit in your mailbox.
  • Keep your Electronic Signature on file with USPS® for an entire year.

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the tip on the Disney Plus subscription free trial @Uncle Willie. Working my way through the Star Wars movies now.

Hola .. :)

"The Mandalorian" is a must see .. it's a fairly quick watch .. I tapped out Disney+ in under a week on the free trial .. just not much of interest for me ..

In a word - Yes, depending on the specific state law/s where you live. There are requirements that there is an "Adult Signature" & ID before any delivery related to vaping can be left. Also - There is a bill in the US Senate that would stop USPS from accepting ANY vaping products, especially "Nic" & "Nic" products . . . :(

Ya' can read more about it here:

US – Keep Vape Mail Legal (Reject S.1253) - CASAA
