Good morning Kay and whoever else may be up. I've spent this rainy morning looking online for Kylo Ren gifts for our grandson Beck. Sheesh! There's tons of stuff and they already have so many toys. Amazon at least makes it easy to send the parents links to ask their advice and also to avoid duplicates.

Our fridge was making a loud noise a couple weeks ago and we had the Geek squad come out and fix it. I called and made an appointment but when they didn't show up I called and they said it was cancelled because they didn't have our serial number. Gave them the number and rescheduled for 2 days later. Then last Friday it started making the noise again. I called, made and appointment (making sure they had the serial number). We waited and they never showed up! WTH? Anybody else had any experience with the Geek Squad?




You can just post something for sale on the Amazon site without their approval?

Get them hooked early. It will also keep the parents on their toes.

Haven't had experience with the Geek Squad, but I go through Home Advisor to get quotes. So far, they have been reliable. I did try calling a contractor on my own, and he never responded, so I'll stick with Home Advisor.

I looked around on Home Advisor and anyone I clicked on to check out ended up giving me a call. Evidently they get notified if their business gets looked at. Glad I didn't click on too many! Anyway, I did end up choosing one of the businesses and have been happy with them.

Funny, but my son is the parent and he's obsessed with Star Wars. He's gone to the midnight showing at the opening of the movie and that means he gets no sleep at all since he's got the kids and work to deal with the next day. We're not at all surprised that he's watched the Lego movies with both kids so it's also not surprising that 3 year old Beck would have a favorite character. And yes, he already has the shuttle fighter and a whole mess of legos as well as big wall decals for his bedroom walls and sheet sets. I think they're hooked!

Hola ..

Just did not want to crawl out of the sack this AM, I was so warm and toasty under the covers .. last night, it hit a whopping 6o outside .. heat pumps just can't deal with that, even with auxiliary heat on, it was 60o in the house .. oh well, just another day or so until the deep freeze breaks ..

Sun is out, though, so that's a plus ..
