Spring? Heck, it seems like summer here in Florida already. In February! Record breaking (or 1 or 2 degrees below) heat. Air conditioning on in February? Hopefully we will have another cold snap or two, but it doesn't look promising... Maybe a few cooler days, but certainly not our "normal" (what is "normal" anymore?) winter.

Actually, I think you were dealing with a slightly scummy scammer. This sounds like "retail arbitrage" where someone lists a widget on Amazon (or ebay), and then fulfills your order by making a "gift" order on Walmart.com and Walmart ships the widget to you while the seller collects a tidy little profit. It isn't legal on Amazon, but there are a lot of sellers that do it anyway. I fell victim to this a couple of times before catching on to the scam. I try to remember to check Walmart for some of the household items to see if I can find it there and take advantage of their free shipping.

I looked into that, just out of curiosity, since I'd never heard of it .. in my case, I don't know if that's what happened, I guess it could be .. Walmart had a 2 pack / 42.5 OZ canisters at about $8.75 per canister .. I paid $6.50 per canister with free shipping .. 6 canisters / it was a big box .. I don't know how anybody could have made any extra money, especially these days when all the shippers have to pay "dimensional weight" based on the size of the box ..

All I know is, I got legit Maxwell House Original and it was the best deal going that I could find .. so, in the event of an Apocalypse, I'll have my coffee ..

The important part is that you got your coffee.

Walmart will have a sweet contract deal with the shipping companies, so they don't get burned with DIM weight like the general public would.

And now for something completely different...

Stickers AKA Case Candy AKA Pedal Candy AKA vape Swag

What is the deal with putting the stickers in with vape and guitar goodies? Last time I checked, I'm and older person, and I always thought stickers were something little kids should get for being good at the dentist or doctor (god forbid that you give them a little toy or a sucker now-a-days). To make things even more confusing, why do I still get chuffed when I open a new toy and find a sticker, or even better, a logo pick packed inside the box with my new treasure?

Good morning Kay and whoever else may be up. I've spent this rainy morning looking online for Kylo Ren gifts for our grandson Beck. Sheesh! There's tons of stuff and they already have so many toys. Amazon at least makes it easy to send the parents links to ask their advice and also to avoid duplicates.

Our fridge was making a loud noise a couple weeks ago and we had the Geek squad come out and fix it. I called and made an appointment but when they didn't show up I called and they said it was cancelled because they didn't have our serial number. Gave them the number and rescheduled for 2 days later. Then last Friday it started making the noise again. I called, made and appointment (making sure they had the serial number). We waited and they never showed up! WTH? Anybody else had any experience with the Geek Squad?

You can just post something for sale on the Amazon site without their approval?

The Amazon Marketplace has rules that sellers are supposed to follow, but there are still sellers willing to ignore the rules. I think most of the 3rd party sellers are OK, but it is buyer beware when you are looking at things that aren't shipped/sold from Amazon. You can report problems with sellers, but they don't make it easy to do it. If you do have a problem with a transaction, it really helps to know the Amazon policies and to quote them if you have to when you file your complaint.

I have received cards, stickers, decals, various swag. Just toss with the shipping package. Not my "thing" either.
I like getting the swag, but don't really know what to do with some of it. I wish the stickers were magnets so I could put them on the rolly tool box or the kitchen cupboards without having a sticky mess to deal with some day when they need to come down.

I just think it's rather odd that something for the stereotype adult male comes with stickers and stuff, while things for the stereotype adult female don't have these things.

LOL.......I usually wake up between 6 & 7, but for the past couple of weeks have been waking around 8:30. It takes me a lot longer to come to when I wake up later, but evidently, I needed the sleep.

Haven't had experience with the Geek Squad, but I go through Home Advisor to get quotes. So far, they have been reliable. I did try calling a contractor on my own, and he never responded, so I'll stick with Home Advisor.

You can have your cold snaps. We don’t need any cold snaps. LOL!

Seriously though we up in the north part of Florida are mostly in what is historically our norm. January - low 60/40, February - high 60s-low 70s/50s.
