I have always liked Girl Scout Cookies .. going, way, way back .. especially Samoas and Tagalongs .. :) .. not only do you get some pretty good cookies, but, you're supporting a worthy cause ..

But, durn, $5.00 clams a box now in my area .. and they are not very big boxes .. ..
Sticker shock for me the other day.
Oh, another little tidbit. A cedar tree can leach up to 35 gallons of water from the soil a day!

Hola .. :)

Sunny and still quite mild .. had a brief thunderstorm burst thru last night that dropped some hail ..

Still not quite time to drag out the deck plants, but, I think I can safely say that Old Man Winter is slowly letting go of his grip .. hopefully, anyway ..

Good morning. I'm so glad to see the sun! It was raining really hard last night, but it's all gone this morning and the sun is out.

It's 42, going up to 54 so it's shaping up to be a great day for taking the boys to the park. We wanted to get a plasma car for Beckett for his 3rd birthday, but thought it might cause fighting if his 5 year old brother didn't have one. So, we held off and our daughter found 2 used ones online that we picked up so we're going to pick them up from daycare and give them the cars at the park. Can't wait, they're going to be so excited! These little cars are so cool, and they're quiet, not like the old hot wheels.

16 days until Spring!!

Forgot to mention, new plasma cars cost $70, but we got 2 of them used for a total of $50. They look like new and are different colors so there shouldn't be any fighting - unless they both want the same color...

Morning, misfits. Overnight rain, scattered showers, moderate temps. What's not to like :)

Good morning. It's pretty chilly at only 35 this morning, but it's going up to 50 this afternoon. 15 days until Spring!

The boys had great fun with their wiggle cars yesterday. We took them to the parking lot in the park that had a slight slope. I set up a race course with sticks that they had to weave in and out of and they wiggled their way through and had a blast. Then it was back to their house for pizza. Mike and I headed for home, but got a text of the boys after their bath. They had their jammies on and were playing Knights of the Undies while wearing their underpants on their heads like helmets. Too funny.

I was the reverse, Janet, knew about it's anti-bacterial properties, but not about it as a viruscide. Nice to know that it's actually both, although of course we don't know if it's effective against all strains of either. But over the years, many of us here have remarked on how few colds we've gotten since switching off cigs, and the "common" cold is also a strain of corona virus... :nun:

Then again,

Okay - Need some advice and thought this would be the best place to ask . . .

I have a very reliable, yet older HP 955c Printer that has yet to fail- Not like the new HP ENVY 455 Series I have. Anyway, given this and with how long a single balck ink cartridge will last me (3+ years) I'm on the search for HP 45 Ink Cartridge - of course at a reasonable price. I found them at a few major stores - Office Depot, Staples, Wallmart, etc - however they are all listed at $60 - $70+ for one. Even at the HP Store they were $60 for just 1. AND - Like one of the store salesman I visited - mentioned it would be cheaper to buy a new printer - but the thing is I already have one - just doesn't work as well.

So - of course, I'm "Googling" to see where else I can find it, only to see Amazon - is the same price as the major stores. Then there was "e-Bay" where there were a number of listing ranging from $10 and upto a 2 pack for $19.99 - even some with free shipping. The only caveat to most of them, is they are listed as "Expired" (different dates), but guaranteed to work. (hp 45 ink cartridge | eBay)

Well - I have not used e-Bay at all, especially given some of my friends bad experiences in the past .

SO:

1) What's your opinion? Good - Bad - Indifferent ? RUN - Away NOW, before wasting any money? Pay the $60 ?

2) Have you used e-bay and had good/bad results ?
(Yes I know some of you have - that's why I'm asking)

Thanks in advance for any information/advice . . . :D

Dan :: I stopped using inkjets some years ago and went with laser, it's just much cheaper .. what I did when I was using inkjets was use a refill kit such as this one ::

https://www.amazon.com/Refill-BCH-C...ll+Kit+for+HP+45+51645A&qid=1583431497&sr=8-1

It's not hard to do and refilling always worked out fine for me .. as well, eBay is safe, IMO .. the Buyer Protections are strong .. I would personally not hesitate to use them .. no different than an Amazon 2nd party seller ..

I agree with Willie. We haven't used E-bay much lately, but over the years we've used them often and haven't had any problems. If I remember right there are seller ratings right on the page with the item to be sold so that's something you can check. They don't want problems because nobody would buy from them.
