Sunny Florida! U.S.A.
Do you, by any chance, work with, or supply to "Tanked"
Love that show.
Sorry Slots, but no that was after my time... friends i hear did... just not saltwater. :nah:

I started in PA mid '70's breeding as a fish hobby come livelihood... first major customer Martins Aquarium, Jenkintown, PA.

Okay, did you ever see 'Mr. Rogers Neighborhood's Aquarium", Martin's supplied all his fishes for free for a credit when they rolled at the end of a segment... If you knew what to look for and they were very distinct...
you'd see my humble beginnings. ;)

(Spent hours on the phone with producers..."You can't have an Oscar in a community tank!" Next show I watched with my young children... the Oscar was gone.) :)

Good cloudy morning to whoever is up. Wow, there are some black clouds crossing over our house at the moment. Good thing Mike did the mowing yesterday.

We live on a cul-de-sac with a wooded area edging away from the bottom where there is a steep slope. There is sometimes a small stream that flows at the bottom of the slope if we get a good rain and just beyond, up the other side of the slope, is a small development of houses. Monday we woke up to several big trucks and a HUGE crane parked in the cul-de-sac. Turns out they were there to completely remove the wooded area. The owners of the house directly across from those woods decided he wanted the trees gone and he's going to plant an arborvitae "fence". That crane pulled whole 40' trees out of the ground and dropped it by the chipper to be ground up into a waiting truck. After the trees were gone then the ground had to be scraped clean of underbrush. Pretty fascinating to watch and mind boggling to think of the cost of doing all that work! Several years ago our daughter needed a tree removed and was quoted $15k because they said they had to bring in a crane. That was for 1 tree!! Anyway, our whole street looks different now.

How many of those deaths were from nursing homes? And I can't help but wonder how many deaths have occurred from other causes, like heart attacks or car crashes etc. And how many deaths have/will occur from lack of treatments and procedures. We're so focused on this virus.

Wow! Your first major customer was in Jenkintown which is not too far from Huntingdon Valley where we lived for quite a few years. Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood...what a delightful show that was!

Oh, I bet it does.......it's a shame all those trees were taken down! It breaks my heart when I see development taking over our wildlife habitats. Although the arborvitae fence is still 'green' it is very formal and eliminates that natural landscape.......but, if you're not unhappy with it, that's a good thing.

    Happy Birthday, Yiddle! :)

I grew up in Lower Bucks, actually Trevose. When I reached driving age we used to go to Jenkintown to the "Hot Shops' <- a precursor to McDonalds and Wendy type places. It's were all the 'hot' cars hung out. Sort of like a scene from the American Graffti movie.

Mamit Damn! I always missed out! I wanted one those 'hot' cars! ...instead though I married a beautiful women from Bristol PA! :) (I was originally from 'Joisy') [Buck's County Blues Society here though!] ...speaking of blues, she in no longer with me. :(

Indeed it would... i was thinking of all the young minds seeing it going on a feeding binge!!! (Including my children, how impressionable they all were!)

Just think of all the money you could save on fish food! :w00t:
Hahaha... yeah, well there is that. ;)

I think I'll try to get more sleep tonight. At times I think I'm just rambling on after the midnight hour.
