Hola ..

Has anyone been to the Grocer lately and noticed some food prices going up .. ?? Especially meats .. ??

I dropped by Walmart yesterday for a few things and glanced at the meat section .. I don't buy meats at Walmart, but it looked like they took a pretty good price jump .. same thing at the Kroger .. Aldi, was, however, still around what I last remember .. I'm fairly well stocked up, but did pick up some at Aldi just to add to the stockpile ..

I feel like I'm careening around a pin-ball machine these last few days .. From Covid to George Floyd to the buffoon that occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Ave .. it's just mentally draining and makes me want to curl up in a fetal position and weep ..

I finally felt good enough yesterday so I went out to the shop and finished up a project I've had sitting on my workbench. Syndee wants me to set up a trail camera to try and catch some of the bird/squirrel antics.

I've named this one Snoopy.

My big protector is more interested in something down the street.

Well, we as in we right here in our small slice of the Cyberverse .. yeah ..

I think about our Folks here .. scattered throughout the Country .. in ways, it makes me feel connected somehow .. I guess that's why I notice when Folks go missing for a while, or maybe for good ..

I don't think I could ever somehow convey my feelings toward all of you that have carved out a piece of your time and devoted it to this obscure, yet so important (for me) spot where truly caring and sharing are the rule of the Day .. it has enriched my Life, I can tell you that ..

I don't get out often, but...last month, April, Berks County had put a limit on how much meat you could buy....no more than 4 pkgs. total of meat. Not so bad for people who can shop often...or hit more than one store, which I can't, and only shop twice a month. When I went, half of the meat area was covered over with very little to choose from, in what was open, to select from. May brought more choices, though still not great a selection, but there was still a limit on how much you were allowed to buy. I think that worse than a shortage of meat, or limits on it, is the limits still on paper products. Signs in the store limit me to 1 product, so have to choose....which do I need most? Kleenex....paper towels...or TP?

I've just been so happy to go to a grocery store...my one big outing of the month....that I haven't even cared about the prices... I refuse to shop at Giant anymore because of high prices and rude employees... but that happened way before all of what we're going through now.

Paper is restricted here but not as a total ,limit is 2 of each. No restrictions on meat. There is plenty so far.

@Janet H yes, when the first tomatoes or cukes or flower buds or whatever start poking their heads I smile. It’s the highlight of my day.

@Flowersoul that's great about the Everglades. And they taste so good! I just picked a handful today. Yummy!
