Is that a transparent plastic cover over her mouth, cause I'm seeing a reflection! Wouldn't want to be breathing any plastic into my lungs; bad enough we're inhaling our own breath when wearing the conventional ones.

Those masks with a clear panel don't wash well. They fog up. People who have tried them complain that breathing is more difficult with them. Most HoH people would rather that people wear regular masks. Speaking louder clearly helps. And, pulling down the mask for important communication, especially at a six-foot distance, always works. There are transcription apps, like Otter, Temi, Hearing Helper, Speak and Translate, and Google Translate which help. I just have to accept that I have become deafer because of Covid.

I can't see how one of those clear masks would be breathable. I would rather use a clear shield. Seeing more of them being offered for sale.

Dog shows are starting up again. Outdoors, masks, social distancing even judging the dogs. Too remote for us to gamble on traveling to yet, but if our vendors who sell our stuff get working again and our wholesale picks up, we will be OK. We are hoping to get off the road anyway, so to promote our wholesale business is our goal.

Wow!!! I'm the first one here this morning!!!!:)

Good morning!

Large storms are supposedly coming my way today...thunder and all that...

Gotta take in the bird feeders before i forget...

P.S.=I'm SO sick of being mostly confined to the house:( There's a song called " I'm So Lonesome I could cry"...fits most of the country...and the world! And me...

Be safe everyone!!

Yes, some variety of plastic. Intended for those who are around others who are hard of hearing. Don't know if they're machine washable (although pretty sure you'd not want to run them through the dryer!).

Another:
ClearMask

Haven't used one of those, but I'd think they would make it much harder to breathe. At least people would be able to see you asking for help before you passed out!! Wouldn't the whole plastic face shield that stands away from the face be better? It's not healthy to be breathing in the same air you've just exhaled for hours on end. We could be making ourselves sick.

Good morning Kay. You bring in your bird feeders when it rains? Our birds don't seem to care if it's raining or not.

I think it would be good for health care providers. However, the total clear face mask would be a better option.
@Uncle Willie, I have tinnitus, too. I guess too much time on the flight line and also on the ranges for weapons training and qualifying.
I had another casualty yesterday. I dropped my mod and broke one of my Kayfun Mini V3 tanks. I still have 6 in my stash so I'll add this broken v3 to the spare parts box. Oh, the Aegis Solo came out unscathed. I have two of the Solos in my daily rotation and one unopened in my stash. If I can find the Solo on sale I might pick up a couple more just for grins and giggles. In the year or so that I have been using the Aegis Solo, I have only had one fail on me. That was from a fall from my shirt pocket to concrete and it also broke Mini V3 that was on top.

Whew! Just got in from outside watering and bring in a bunch of zucchini, my first cuke and a couple tomatoes. It's become evident that I can only handle an hour out in this heat. Then it's time to come in and cool off. I'll water some more after dinner because it doesn't look like we're going to be getting any real rain for quite awhile. A nice pop-up soaking shower would help.

@Diver9543 So sorry to hear about your V3. It's why we have back-ups right?

I've had tinnitus too for quite awhile, but have no idea where mine came from. I've never been around munitions and never liked my music blasting away out of mega speakers. I'm thinking there's going to be a whole generation of practically deaf people soon from having attended heavy metal concerts and driving while playing bone vibrating base. Mostly I can ignore the tinnitus (like right now), but sometimes it's pretty annoying. Actually, I think if more people had their hearing tested there would be a lot more people who would be surprised to learn they needed hearing aids. They should check with their spouses.

This place has solo for $25.59. The colors are limited though. I purchased 2 in the last 3 months and I love them!

I use 2 different Solos all day long. Since we found the Zenith toppers that's all I use. The Kfuns have better flavor I think, but you can't beat the ease of filling the Zeniths and changing the innards. It's just twist and go.

I was never interested in the 2ml Zlide so didn't keep up on them. Didn't know there's a bigger version of it now. How many mils does the bigger one hold?
