Fran :: My old school manually adjustable units will run continuously .. there is a switch to set it for that under a panel .. they do eat up a 9 volt battery fairly quickly ..
I ordered one similar to this one a while back and bagged it for around 20 clams on Amazon ::

The fact that it is rechargeable is a big plus .. although 60 minutes is the limit on the timer .. it has various pre-programmed modes for various body areas .. it holds a good charge for a long time .. it takes a slight learning curve, but it does come with an extensive instruction sheet (you may need a microscope to read it ..) .. the ability to recharge has about paid for the unit, for me anyway, since 9 volts are not cheap .. also, the pads are good quality and last a good long time with an occasional swab of water ..
I posted it as a "Deal of the Day" when I bought it .. I thought others may have picked one up .. ?? ..
Downside .. ?? It won't power your PV ..![]()
I bought one when you posted the deal, but the unit says MicroPure. I'm using it now on my knee and it works great. Once I figured out the instructions it was pretty simple. Mine goes in 20 minute increments, but I just tap it again and get an additional 20.
Since I'm at my daughter's I had her get out the one given to me during a PT stint for my shoulder a few years ago. I'd loaned it to her. The company is called Empi. The company called me every once in awhile for about a month to find out how it was working for me and if I needed anything else. On the last call she told me that I now owned the unit. Huh? Well, ok then, thanks... When I was using it I turned it on and it lasted all day at work without having to mess with it at all so I figured they all worked like that. Evidently not. It turns out that Empi is pretty pricey. It feels like it works as well as the cheaper brands, but it's a lot to pay for one that runs continuously. It runs on 2 AA batteries and lasts quite a long time.
