We've had a lot of business closing here too.
I'm kind of thinking my town is going the way of Appalachian coal mining towns. My area (NW NM) has several strong economic features, but. . . . The oil and gas industry is pretty much a bust. We have two coal fired power plants. One is shut downs and the other has one or two of the five units offline. Obviously, their supporting coal mines are not doing so well. Well, at least there's the tourist industries. :( Oh yeah, there's also the pandemic with related store closings and unemployment.

Somebody tell me I'm worrying over nothing.

The contractor took them away. No point in keeping them here. We've got way too much stuff saved here already.

Well, I just figured they would make an excellent layer over the new door for emergency purposes, in the event of any sort of Apocalypse, you know ..

Yeah, if Janet had said they still had them, I would have asked for them .. metal doors are expensive and I love to repurpose stuff .. I would have taken that entrance way wood as well ..

Of course, there is that trip to PA involved ..

    Morin' Misfits . . .

Gotta really "like" living in South Florida . . . Wheather hasn't really changed in week/months . . . It's either a Sunny day with a gentle breeze off the ocean or HOT & HUMID with "Feel Like" temp 10 - 20 degrees higher or the same with rain/thunder storm during the day/night (which it has been the last 2 weeks at least) . . . Then ya have just over 6 months waiting for either the Saharan Dust or a Hurricane to come on over . . . So today is already 86* this morning w/feels like temp 99* . . . Expected to be going up to 95* w/feels like temp in the 100's by 3PM, and will include the Saharan Dust and maybe a shower or 2 . . . OH YEA - If you can step outside to "enjoy" the wheather and can still breath - then there is the increase of those acquiring Covid-19 (already been 1000 per day besides the people dieing ) - to deal with . . . NOT a good way to start the day . . . But Hey - Our Govenor still wants to continue to open up the state further, including the schools . . . Anyone want to come visit?

    Just Sayin' . . .

    .
I agree with you about the humidity…80-100%…hard to breathe. Not comfortable. The heat doesn’t bother me. I grew up in this subtropical weather..Truth be told between the weather up north where by Late October temps were below 60 and our north Florida weather I’ll take north FL weather anytime. It’s so wonderful to walk outside in January with just a long sleeve shirt…no frozen fingers, no shivering and most of all no driving in snow and sleat.

Mike these may work just fine in your mods…what brand are they? I have Vamo that takes 18350 bats and they work just fine. Apparently Provaris must really tax batteries.

BTW I checked Mooch's bat table but the only 18350 he recommends is only available in flat tops and I can only use button tops.

A number of month's back I bought some brand new 18350 eFest as like for most of us our AW's were getting 'long in the mouth' and not lasting as long as they used to after a full charge.

Well the eFests worked OK but geez their longevity after a full charges wasn't much better than my vintage AW's ... it was disappointing. I've got a slew off P 2.5 mini's sitting around unused because I can't find a decent battery in 18350 or 18450 size. I've got some that I can use w/ 18650's but I don't like my tube mods that long in size.

Well the doors likely made their way to the re-cycle center/dump. Some of the wood may be in Darren's hunting cabin 'up state'. I also gave him a slew of lumber I had stored in the garage. That he used to finsih of a 14 foot trailer. Geez ... some of that wood I had in storage for a long-long time ... there were some 2x4's that actually measured a true 2x4 inches.

Good morning to whoever is up. It was lovely on the deck this morning. Only 62 degrees! How refreshing! I think summer and winter just makes me appreciate Spring and Fall more.

We repurpose as much as we can. Our son's friends usually go home with something that Mike has pulled out of his stash. Any time we gather stuff we're not going to use anymore it always gets donated to Free Cycle or Viet Nam Vets or our local Liberty Thrift store. Just goes against the grain to toss stuff in the trash and it's the main reason we hold onto stuff-just in case we might need it for something. Sometimes we sell stuff too. Just sold one of our cribs yesterday. The more I see going out the door the happier I am.

    Good song.

The music of those long ago days led many of us along a path .. united in common purpose .. great songs, yes, that held up over the test of time ..

Repurposing for the Modern Age seems only fitting .. "The more things change, the more they remain the same .."

Listening to Janis right now. To me, the old stuff is superior

Mike I feel your pain. I have only one AW 18350 battery left and lucky for me a kind soul from another thread is gifting me 4 unused ones so I should be good for a couple years at least. Like you I have all the extensions so I can use 18490s or 18650s but don’t like the length.

I looked at Mooch’s table but he doesn’t recommend any button tops except one which is unavailable anyway.

Until the bats get here I’m using my two 18490 AW bats or my Pico but while the Puco vape is not bad it doesn’t come close to the smooth vape of the P fir me.

Mike do you have a Provari classic?
