God morning friends! This pic is basically how it looks here outside! It's about time we're seeing some sunshine!:)

th

( but, I do miss some of the friends that seem to have dropped out:()

Maybe some of them are just too depressed with what's going on in our country lately to be sociable...I know i am..)

Hola .. :)

Or, my rants, raves and editorials drove them away .. and, if so, sorry .. but, as most of you know, I'm not going to always write about the Weather ..

I'm not a friend thats dropped out but I've started feeling very unwelcome especially by one long term member. Since they've been here much longer than I have it's just easier to read rather than post lately. I really like this group and at least I can read.

    Dear Anise ..

If by chance, I have ever written anything that might give you that impression, I can fully and completely assure you that it was absolutely not my intent ..

If I have ever personally offended anyone by my musings and sometimes thinly disguised commentary, it was also absolutely never my intent ..

Lastly, I'm a grown azz man .. if, at any time, anyone feels the need to tell me to shut up, feel free to do so .. I can take it, I will not be offended, I will respect you fully and completely .. however, I am unlikely to, er, actually shut up .. o_O

    Sincerely, Willie

PS, I encourage everyone to follow Tom's advice .. :p

Good morning. It's a dreary morning here in the 50s. Daytime temps next week will be in the 40s. 127 days until Spring!

In other news. Our daughter sent us this picture of what happened to a tomato she bought at the grocery store. I've seen seeds sprouting when I've cut into a tomato, but never saw this! Very creepy!

{{{ @Anise }}} You can do more than read ... please post when/whatever you want. You're a certified long time member of this thread too so don't just lurk, please.

But your survival stash isn't complete without one of these.

They're made about 20 miles from where we live. My son gave me one a few years back. It's so sharp I'm afraid to use it. Might wind up cutting off a hand or foot clearing brush with it.

Good morning friends. I'm getting ready to head to the farm for a day of fun and adventure so this will be short. @Anise, you are a valuable member of our group and I for one would miss you if you were to leave. Besides, I look forward to your cat postings. You can always just block the offending person and not see their post anymore. I hope you stick around.
I hope everyone has a good day and stays safe.

I'm still lurking. RL is a pain in the .... - literally! We had an invasion of yellow jackets in the house and one got me in the backside! A quick call to pest control solved that problem. They're coming back on Monday to plug the hole and do a house inspection for other problems (mice in the basement).

We managed to get the new refrigerator we wanted last week (lucked out). It's now sitting in my dining room while the new oven is in the living room. The installer is booked until after Thanksgiving. It takes a few extra steps to get milk for coffee in the morning and we've found some work arounds for the old oven that seem to keep it from throwing errors too often. We're muddling along.

A belated Happy Birthday to @FranC . Best to all of you too!

@Anise Even though I've not been posting regularly, I read your post and felt sad. No one should feel that they are unwelcome here........long time member or not.......I find you to be so delightful and your posts are upbeat!

We've been busy around here taking care of our Abby since she got sick again......this time pancreatitis is suspected! Doc is cautiously optimistic that it is a bacterial infection, so scripted antibiotics and pain meds. My heart cracks when I see her in pain, although it has diminished quite a bit. Boiled chicken breast and white rice or oatmeal is the menu for our furbaby these days. Her appetite has started to increase so it's a bit easier to camouflage the meds, otherwise I just open her mouth, put the med deep in her mouth, hold her nose, and massage her throat gently till she swallows. Sounds horrible, but it must be done.

Hah, having the 'fridge in the living room makes for shorter trips during football games, but the dining room is still probably closer than the kitchen ;)

Have you tried "pill pockets"? My avi's brother was on meds (thyroid) for the last few years of his life, twice daily pill. The pockets would work for a week or so, then he'd balk. A couple time pushing it down his throat, with the massage, and he'd be happy to go back to the pockets ;)
