Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Since Christmas Day, I've been mulling over 2020 .. it's probably one of the hardest years I could even attempt to try and encapsulate .. yes, I know we are all collectively looking forward to 2021 being better .. and, the truth is, 40 years ago I figured I'd never live this long anyway, so, maybe every day is a gift ..

I sometimes believe the America I know reached it's peak of Greatness sometime in the past .. yes, I know that's a very pessimistic way of looking at things, but, it is what it is .. maybe things just have not felt so great over this past year ..

2020 has just been a heavy year .. it's weighed on me, I feel like I have disproportionately aged for some odd reason .. being beaten over the head by the constant drum of Covid .. political agendas that seem so out of the norm .. an Election Season .. we, as a Nation, should all remember that we have shared this Human Calamity .. we should be reminded that We are all linked in a Worldwide community, our individual actions have consequences for others .. community actually matters, in more ways than one ..

Yet, I try and focus on the light as best I can .. people coming together to help those that are hurting .. workers in all facets that still slog to the job everyday to make sure we're as safe as possible .. the unsung Heroes that have stuck with it so we can still buy our gas / groceries / toilet paper, etc .. they don't get near the recognition I think they deserve ..

I've cooked for many years, but it was, essentially, the same routine .. in 2020, I really began to learn to cook .. maybe out of necessity since take out really, really gets boring after a while .. I've even made up dishes that worked out pretty good .. yesterday, I concocted a slow-cooker dish that I wanted to taste like I was in Casablanca or Jamaica .. it worked out pretty good and I learned about fire roasted tomatoes .. I've baked bread, and not just in a bread maker ..

I learned better than ever, to not engage the Crazies .. I think you know what I'm talking about ..

Yet, our Community continues to be one of Tribes, divided and somehow tethered to their own Agendas .. have we learned, Collectively .. ?? Maybe, maybe not ..

But, when it's all said and done, I've just had enough .. I yearn for a degree of normalcy ..

Please take a moment and listen to this great song by Lori McKenna .. I think it sums up where my mind is as the year draws to a close .. If I were a Religious Man, I would get down on my knees and pray for Salvation and Goodness for All ..

2021, you can't get here fast enough ..

You don't have to be a religious person to do that.

So true . . . And while I do not follow any one religion - I do have Faith in Humankind, especially that eventually - WE ALL Will Honestly Care For One Another From The Heart  . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Only 12? This time of year, we have about 7 hours of daylight. If we can tell it's daytime!

Yet, our Community continues to be one of Tribes, divided and somehow tethered to their own Agendas .. have we learned, Collectively .. ?? Maybe, maybe not ..

Yeah, hard to tell. Call it tribalism, or Balkanization of these once United States, the concept of the common good seems to be in short supply. That so many online news and "social" sites tailor what's shown to what's already been looked at only reinforces that tribalization. Not sure what can be done about that, especially in the short term...

And I surely don't need all the annual retrospectives that will be all that's on for the next few days, nope. I wish I could forget most of it!!

For the nice young Women that recommended Revive Essential Oils .. I finally got my order from about 3 weeks ago after it had been bounced around most of the USA by USPS ..

So, I could not find anything on the Website about how much to use in a Diffuser .. thoughts .. ??

I don’t have any of that brand. Try 3-4 drops and go from there.

    @Uncle Willie
    I LOVE your retrospectives

Well, thanks .. I had about decided I would not do anymore along the same lines as yesterdays since my intuition told me it may not be a welcome perspective .. and, I understand that .. the fine folks around here prefer not to hear of my ruminations on 2020 ..

I had planned on doing one a day till New Years Eve ,,

It was me Willie. Fran has the idea, depends on the size of your diffuser. 100-150 ml, 3-4 drops to start. Add a few a drop or two more if you are not getting desired scent. If larger, proportional more drops. If you are adding more than 1 essential oil, start with 2-3 drops of each and take it from there.

I am glad you are enjoying Revive. They have mixes that mimic blends from Young Living and DoTerra at much more reasonable prices.

Note on the shipping: I know I have mentioned before, but a package I sent Priority mail from Ocala, FL to Allentown, PA went to Los Angeles, CA for about 10 days, then to Jersey City, NJ (closer, but not close enough) for a week or so, finally landed in Philadelphia on Dec 20 and there it sits. I emailed USPS through their contact/tracking link and received a reply they will check into it. Yea, right, if it happens I will be thrilled but I don't expect much.
