I'll add one more thing and then I'll shut up for a minute ..

You would not think that over a period of time, with mostly nothing more than written back and forth discussion, that you could really get to know people ..

But, I think you can .. at least I think I have .. I generally shy away from saying things like this, but I'm going to use that word ..

It's been a Blessing ..
I shy away from saying things like that too, but I have to agree, we are all blessed to have each other in this little corner of the cyber universe.:wub::wub:

Good morning!
DH does it again! As I was trying to open my eyes this morning, he chirps at me and said he had good and bad news. For the good - he's scheduled my COVID-19 vaccinations, the first one is next Friday. In this case, I have forgiven him for talking to me before I have coffee. The bad news - we didn't win the lottery. :(

Morning all. Seems to be clear atm, might even see a bright thing in the sky in a bit. For a bit...

I agree. Over time we do discover a lot about each other, and come to see many as "family", including curmudgeons ;)

Today's music ride home: singing along (very poorly) with Simon & Garfunkel, Mrs. Robinson. I was at 'where have you gone Joe DiMaggio?' while passing Babe Ruth's house. I started reflecting on times gone by and yearning for what has been lost. My youth was idyllic in some ways - a neighborhood where people helped each other on a regular basis. Families kicked the kids out to roam and play in a way that wouldn't be acceptable now. I miss that community too.

Then a cousin posted a message in a family group so I actually went onto FB (doesn't happen often). This came up in my feed and made me laugh and feel old at the same time. Many times I've known the songs. D'oh!

Not just supermarkets. I've been serenaded by the Beatles in restaurants. (Remember those??)

Good morning!

Then again, maybe you did! We felt a huge sense of relief after our first dose, and even more after the second. Yep, we won the lottery!!

Thank you Willie for starting this thread and keeping it going. When I first came here it wasn't long till I found this thread and felt I had come home. Unfortunately I have a bunch of physical problems that keep me away for a good length of time sometimes and psychiatric problems that hit with no warning.
The good part is that I know no matter how long I'm gone I still feel like I'm with family when I come back.
Thank you everyone for accepting me and a special thanks to Willie for giving me a home to go to.

Anise, thank you for this post! I wish I was literate enough to express myself this way .It's perfection!!

I've been blessed, in spite of myself, because I stumbled on a mobile home community for " older folks"...and I'm at the back of the community, with acres of woods behind me and the few homes here are on an individual cul-de-sac!
I've made a few really good friends over the few years I've been here and we all look out for each other.....and I get to see a deer sometimes:)

The woman across the street gets my mail for me...AND she brings me homemade dinners a few times a week!!!!

Now all I need is a strong good looking man...to mow my lawn, shovel the snow and do a few repairs

@DavidOck Hubs and I feel the same way. We got our second vacs today. I know we have to wait another week to be fully protected and still wear masks indoors but we feel such relief. Hopefully no flu symptoms the next couple days. And finally I can go to my orchid society meeting on Tuesday. Last one attended was last March!

    Happy Sunday, gang.

Looks like we'll have scattered sun for the next few days, here the flip side of scattered showers ;)

We both had less reaction to the second than we had to the first. And with the first, only a slightly warmish feel for a couple hours. Hope your responses were as little!

Yes, and while we will, of course, still be masked when out and about (well, if near any people!), knowing we got the stuff to keep us out of a hospital (or morgue!!) even if we do contract it gets rid of a LOT of angst!! Hopefully enough will follow through so we can start to return to RL.

Guess I've not signed up at as many places, Willy, since I've not been getting many of those. And yes, the clock it ticking... :grr:

    Hmmm, who's on first??

Good dreary morning! It's supposed to rain...and it looks like it's getting ready to start...much better than snow!

But..it's only Feb. and here in Mi., we could have a blizzard anytime till April...that's how Mi. weather operates...

Glad I have a streaming box for the tv! And a kitty that I play with and crotcheting while I'm glued to the tv. ( idle hands are the devil's workshop, so it's said...I think it's the idle brain!
    At least in my case...)

Good morning. Rainy day here. The birds and critters don't seem to care.

Fri. night we went to our daughters to watch all 4 kids while daughter went to do taxes and our son went to buy a car. The 4 kids range in age from 5 to 2 years old. Sounds like a lot to handle, but it was actually easier with all 4 because they play well together with minimal whining and crying episodes. It is a lot of chaos and noise though! We got home last night and got a text that when our son and his family got in their new car to go home our son was fussing with the headlights when his 5 year old in the back seat asked, "Hey Dad, do you actually know how to drive this car?" Too funny.

@Uncle Willie, I love your musings. I don't say it enough, I really love everybody that post on here. Today has been a good day for me. I had an appointment today with my primary care doctor at 2:15. I was sitting here reading some postings and the next thing I know, I looked up and it was 3:30. I fell asleep here at my desk and got in a good 2-hour nap. I called and they rescheduled me for 4:15. She changed up my BP meds and sent me to have blood drawn. I'll see her again in 3 months.
I've been doing a bit of reflecting today. Today is a double day for me. For one thing, it is my six-year vapversary and second, it is my actual birthday. When Syndee got home from work, we were chatting while dinner was cooking. She wanted to apologize to me, She remembered my birthday but she had bought my gift a few weeks ago and now can't remember where she put it. She said she was up until 2:30 this morning looking for it. What can ya do but laugh? I hope everyone had a good day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! and CONGRATULATIONS ON 6 YEARS CIGARETTE FREE!! What a nice birthday gift you gave yourself 6 years ago! Your daughter reminds me of my failings a few times, especially with birthday cards. I once gave someone their birthday card 2 months late and every year I find a lost Christmas present a few weeks after the holiday. It's the thoughts that count!! I've actually sent birthday cards at random times during the year and tell them I'm really early.

Oh, and Jerry, I can't really come up with a snappy moniker for Real Birthday and Vapaversary .. sorry ..

    So, let's try this ::

I haven't been on-line for a few days so I'm late to the party, But Happy Birthday and Vapeversary Diver.

And I hope you have another real soon, I can't wait to see UW's next celebration video for you. But after watching it I kind of feel I should re-watch the live streaming Mass I just finishing 'attending'.

Good afternoon, All. Thank you for all of the birthday and vapeversary wishes. As far as giving myself a good birthday gift 6 years ago, well, at the time I didn't think it was such a good idea. That is why on the 26th I found and joined ECF. Now that is or should be the day of celebration. It was that simple thing, joining ECF, that really changed my life. That simple, in hindsight, the act is what led me to find the greatest group of people a person could ever hope to meet. So, thank you everyone for being here. I just don't have the proper words to fully demonstrate my appreciation for the support when I was first starting out and also for being here for the continued help just handling life as it is thrown at me. I love every one of you.

    Hola .. :)

Yes, I do know about the mail ban .. I'm skeptical as to how well it will work, I mean USPS can't even seem to do their regular job, much less act as the Mail Police ..

I did spend some time yesterday organizing my PV stuff, finally .. previously, I had some here, some there, now, it's all in a cabinet in the Man Cave, neatly lined out ..

I have a large number of EVOD tanks/coils still, I have a relatively large stash of Clearomizers along with the Twists/Spinners .. my raw Nic stash is like the National stockpile, I have 2 extra Solos, plus the one I use, 5 Zenith Tanks, one ZLIDE and about 400 Zenith Coils .. these coils, with my very clear nic solution are lasting me at least a month in the ZLIDE .. so 400 coils is plenty of months ..

I need to get another couple ZLIDES, but I really think I'm in pretty good shape ..

On the other hand, I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry ..
