I just don't understand what goes on in the minds of some people. @Uncle Willie, when I read the article about Dr. Seuss I had the same thought you did. How did we get to this level of idiocy?

I agree this "racist" thing is getting so out of hand. Dr Seuss? Children's books? Ah come on! I remember a Sylvester and Tweety cartoon where at the end Sylvester puts a gun in his mouth and blows his head off! It was a cartoon for goodness sake! (maybe that's why you don't see Looney Tunes cartoons anymore.... ) Make believe, and back then it was just a cartoon. Wyle Coyote and the Roadrunner? The things they did to each other? It was a cartoon!!!!

My Kung Fu is weak today .. nothing comes to mind .. fell a sleep in the recliner and woke up at 2 AM, shuffled off to the bed .. don't feel very rested at all ..

Whenever I use the heating pad on my back and I sit in the recliner in the late evening, I have a bad habit of falling a sleep .. and, 2 AM is generally the time I wake up ..

Ugh! So, how does your back feel this morning? Have you used the TENS? You know you're only supposed to use the heating pad for 20 minutes at a time. Yeah, I know, I've left it on too because it feels so good.

I scored a very useful freezable gel cold bag from Amazon a while back, so I don't use the old regular ice bag anymore, it stays very cold for an hour or more ::

I can't tell ya how many times I have woke up in the recliner. Except, I usually wake at 6 AM and there is no going back to bed.

I would recommend rotating the heat and ice. And only use them for 20 minutes each. No more or there is a good chance of tissue damage. I was told this from different physical therapists when I was going through physical therapy from numerous knee surgeries and also from lumbar damage.
One thing I found that is great for me are rice packs. I keep one in the freezer and another for heating in the microwave. I got mine at CVS years ago.

Good morning. No heat or ice packs for me today - I'm so optimistic... Fortunately no plans for doing anything to cause me to need them, but you never know. My worst problems happened for no reason at all.

Just got an email to sign up for the C19 shot at one of my docs offices. I was signed up within 2 hours of getting the email and Mike did too so that makes 10 waiting lists we're on. The county is working through people who signed up on 1/13, but there were over 30k people who signed up that day so it's going to take awhile. None of these places have a way to take our name off a list when we finally do get our shot.

Willie, I have an electric heating pad that feels like velvet and it has a good thickness, it's long in the back and has kind of a shawl shape that goes over my neck and drapes down over my shoulders in the front and has a few snap buttons that hold it in place.

It lives on the back of my recliner...where I mostly live now-a-days
The brand name is LEVESOLLS, but I don't remember where I bought it...probably on Amazon...
