Uh, 35 heading to 50 ;)

Morning all. Acre work on hold for a bit, thankfully. Other things on the agenda for today. Nice to have a break from the hauling and burning. Heck, I stopped smoking years ago!!

At least we seem to be past this here in the PNW ;)

Hola .. :)

Spent the bulk of the day finishing up spring yard cleanup yesterday .. while a roast sat in the slow cooker ..

Finished up the yard, spread some weed and feed and waited for the anticipated rain .. which came last night .. while it watered in the fertilizer quite nicely, there was some fairly heavy wind, so more debris in yard .. like a dog chasing it's tail, it never seems to end ..

My roast was not yet really tender even after about 6 hours, ended up getting some take away and letting the roast slow cook till 9 PM, at which time it seemed ready .. so, this evening, I'll just need to heat that up and maybe do some mashed potatoes and a vegetable of some sort ..

I don't know where all the "good" meat goes these days .. meat buying is like a crap shoot .. you never know what you're going to end up with .. I gave up roasting roasts a long time ago and just go straight with the slow cooker ..

They say that inflation is low .. well, do these folks ever get gasoline or go to the Grocer .. ?? Have you looked at the price of lumber and building materials these days .. ??

Good afternoon all. I hope everyone is doing well.

Now ya'll have me hungry for a steak. Next weekend, I'm going to have to go to the commissary. Snydee has a new job and it is an M-F job with weekends off. I'm sure I can talk her into taking me.

I finally got the new motor mounted on the brush mower. Now all I need to do is find the right Forester blade and adapter. I may wind up getting the blade I want then made my own adapter.

Decisions decisions! Oh well! I'm now off to Amazon. Stay safe and well.

As an addendum to my post on Friday regarding my 2nd Vaccine ..

I am happy to report that the Pfizer vaccine caused no undo reaction of any sort in my case .. although I cannot guarantee I may grow another appendage at some point in the future, so far, so good ..

To vaccinate or not, is, of course, a personal choice .. it is my sincere hope that those of you here will decide to get the shot(s) ..

And, be prepared for a yearly booster ..

We get 2nd round Moderna on April 3rd. Hoping we have similar experience. Friends have reported flu like symptoms 24 hrs afterward, lasting for 24 hrs.

yep, I've heard mixed stories from people I know .. I don't know if it's particularly centered around one vaccine or another ..

Due to those stories, I went in Friday morning somewhat nervous .. but, I did my best to relax my arm, took the second one in the other arm from the first, and then stopped by Hardee's for a Sausage Egg and Cheese when I left the facility .. ;)

Some suggest eating a banana, but I did not have one handy ..

Fingers crossed here too. I get my 2nd shot on the 2nd and DH gets his the following Tuesday. Some data shows it's the younger age group that has more reactions. I'm hoping I'm old enough (the DH should be LOL). My BD is on Easter this year and it wouldn't be fun to be miserable.

I'll try to remember that next fall, when the annual shots come out...

Although neither of us had much of a reaction to either shot (Pfizer). And what you had sounds a lot better than the dentist passing out lollipops...

I'll take a Sausage Egg and Cheese over a lollipop any day of the week and twice on Sunday .. :)

I'm in the cold zone with FranC. My remote car starter (aka the DH) didn't work this morning, but he took out the trash. I'll take that trade LOL.

For the moment, I'm jealous of those that are doing all the yard work. I'm looking forward to better weather so we'd have similar projects.. Then again, I'm not sure we have the energy to do all that you do! I'm hoping for a better year - less work work and more yard work. I'll take that too with thanks for the inspiration.

We had our second shots last Friday, Moderna. Hubby had no reactions at all. I had some mild ones - achy muscles, mild headache, no appetite. Just for one day. It was fine with me, I took a few short naps, Hubby rubbed my back. I think it was very well worth it!

Come on down! (Well, I guess it would be across.) Still lots to do. How are you with a chain saw?

I can come with my own chain saw but I'm more of a danger to myself than the tree. I am much better with a log splitter, lots of experience with that. We also have a super chipper/shredder which is my toy. It's an old Briggs & Stratton hand-me-down from the in-laws that is sweet. One year when we had it serviced, the mechanic really really wanted to buy it. I think he's still crying.

Hola .. :)

Isn't it fascinating that some hardware can be, so, er, fascinating .. ?? Feeding a branch in and seeing it come out the other end like confetti .. It is a most satisfying experience and actually kinda fun ..

I get that same sensation when using a power washer .. passing that jet stream over something dirty or discolored and, even when it's just water coming through, seeing it miraculously get clean .. the power of water ..

Many years ago, when dot-matrix printers were still a thing, I could watch that head go back and forth as it conjured up letters and numbers on a page of paper as a traction system pulled that long, accordion folded paper through .. as it made a high pitched whine ..
