Does it never fail. I get right in the middle of a project I have to run out and get more hardware. Good afternoon all. I have an old MTD gas edger/brush mower. I have had it since we bought our home in '97. I want to get it running so it can be used out at the farm. Yesterday I bought a motor at Harbor Freight and now I'm replacing the old motor. I don't have the right bolts. Auto Zone here i come.
Wouldn't never thought about auto zone for nuts and bolts, good idea.
When looking to buy our house here, I loved that there was a hardware and lumber yard close buy so that I could walk there with a wagon for that Xtra parts run.

Good morning! It's a beautiful morning. The highs for the next 3 days are 62, 69 and 65 and I'm loving it! Although there's still a patch of snow on the back of the property, there is green grass growing in spots near the house. A friend in NJ said her crocus are up! Woohoo!

Thanks. This looks like it could be a good idea, but what about the 2nd dose? There's no mention of it that I could find. Actually, when I first clicked on the link I got an error, but clicking the Home button took me to the site. I think I've got our names on enough local sites that we should be hearing from one of them soon. Every place we've sign up has a very long waiting list so I'd think if there were any shots left over they'd just have to contact the next person on their list.
Yeah, ur probably right. And it looks like PA isn't doing too well with distribution as of yet.

I have just started persuing a vaccination. Although with our travel it would be nice to have been vaccinated, if I get in when not home, what's the use? We will be home a lot the next 2 months, so will start a serious persuit.

It doesn't look hopeful because everywhere I have looked so far is either out of stock or no appointments available. I expand my search.

Good morning! Holy fog Batman! I couldn't even see the back of the property it was so dense this morning. It's going up to 71 today! 8 days until it's officially Spring, but it sure feels like it now. We still have some days ahead in the 40s, but no doubt we're moving into Spring.

Ha Ha. I've been saying for awhile now that I want to live above our Wegman's grocery store. Never fails that I'll see a new recipe and be missing 1 ingredient. Wouldn't it be nice to run downstairs and grab what was needed.

Just keep in mind that you'll have to go back to the same place for the 2nd shot unless you get the J&J one.

Has anyone heard anything about the medication that might be coming out soon? It's like Tamiflu for the seasonal flu. You have to take it as soon as the symptoms start. We got some after babysitting our grandson when it turned out he had Type A flu. Sure enough, Mike and I both got sick a couple days later and took the Tamiflu. Worked great. We were only sick 2 days and didn't nearly feel as bad as when we'd had the flu without it.

Have you registered with your county? They notify you when they have available appointments and what time they start taking them. You want to make sure you apply the very second they start tsking the appointments because they are fill up in minutes…literally.

    Morning, misfits.

More acre work today. (Yep, lots more than just yards!!) Plugging away at the winter storms' damage, trunk by trunk... one day on the chain saw and hauling, next on burning, lather rinse repeat. The end is in sight, sometime next month. Barring another wind storm.

Haven't seen anything on a covid inhaler, but I'm sure it's being looked into!

Happy Day! It's supposed to get close to 70deg. today. I told the office that I'm leaving by 3pm because I have a walking date with my DH. We survived the lockdown last spring by taking a daily walk together. This will be the first one since sometime in the fall.

MA was initially slow in the rollout for vaccinations, lagging the rest of the country, but seems to have caught up with 21.9% having 1 shot and 10% having both. There is hope for PA and elsewhere.

up here we could choose to be notified by text so that we could jump on it. The first text we got all appointments were taken in 12 minutes. By the time we completed our selected time and name , address it was too late. We made our selection faster the next time about 2 weeks later. Also even if your appointments are not back to back, tell them you are together when you arrive and they will probably do you all together. It worked for Gary, me and my friend.

I don’t know about other states but in FL because they got so many calls, last time I checked…there was a recording telling us where to register for the vaccine. No live calls.

Wow, I had no idea county registrations were so difficult.

We signed up on our County website to get the C19 shot on 1/16. It's taken them 7 weeks to work through those who signed up before 1/13. Their latest update on 3/10 said they were working on people who had signed up on or before 1/14 so I expected to have to wait awhile yet. The next day, yesterday afternoon, I got an email to open a link to get a “token” to schedule an appointment and gave me 1-1/2 hours to do it. I saw the email 1/2 hour late and they were closed! Not only that, we can only get the token if we switch to Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers and besides that, there were no more appointments available.

Further instructions said we should send them an email with “Unable to Register” in the subject line which we did. So I guess we’ll have to be glued to our computers during their hours of operation from 8:30-3:45 so we don’t miss their response. What about people who can't or don’t use computers? ARRRRRRRRRGH!

Worked for us as well. Our first shots were scheduled about 1/2 hour apart (the time it took to log her off and me on), but we checked in together and went in at the same time, same nurse. And she booked the second for us, for the same time.

I suspect the State turning over vaccine to our HMO was a big help.

    Hola .. :)

Not trying to throw any chest thumping and fist bumping out there .. (well, maybe a little) .. as of 8:10 AM Central Time, I have acquired my 2nd Pfizer vaccine .. :D

Administered by a very nice young woman, who was quite good at giving a shot that I absolutely did not feel .. still had to hang the 15 minutes, and there were a few cautionary notes this time .. try and move your arm as much as possible the first 24 hours, don't be surprised if you get a rash in the area .. may have flu like symptoms first 48 hours .. those things were not tossed out with the first one ..

Called the VA and had them take me off the list ..

Good morning/afternoon all. I hope everyone is having a good Friday.

I don't know why I read the news nowadays. All that happens is I get totally, I can't use the words here that I want to use to describe my anger about this post on our local news.

Announcers caught on broadcast making racist comments as high school players knelt for National Anthem | KFOR.com Oklahoma City

There is no reason to use this kind of language and to make the comments directed at students kneeling during the national anthem while covering a high school basketball game. I hope they get fired and fined by whoever covers the broadcast over the airways. It is very embarrassing to me that it happened here in my home state and local metro area.

Well, I need to go to the pharmacy and get some meds that are ready for pick up. I hope everyone has a good weekend. Maybe getting out of the house and taking a drive will calm me down.

That's horrible! I just don't understand how people can hate each other like that. I can see hating someone for something they've done, but not just for how they look. When will be ever just see people as people?

I've told you the story of us waiting for 7 weeks to get an appointment with our county to get the C19 shot. We finally got an email with an ID number to schedule, but there were no appointments available. We didn't know what happens next. Is the Id number still good? We missed the time slot to register so does that mean we go to the end of the line? All day today the site still showed no appointments available. So, Mike sent a facebook message to our state legislator and within minutes they replied that they'd check into it. A few minutes later they replied that our ID number was still good and a bunch of appointment times would be available tonight. So, I kept checking online and Bingo! We're both scheduled for our first Pfizer shot on Tuesday!! This is the 2nd time a state legislator helped us. It's good to keep track of them, they can come in handy.

Good to see it's starting to work, Janet, but I'm surprised it's so confusing in PA. I signed up with NM DOH and I had an appointment on 2/10/21. Got second Pfizer on 3/3/21. The only difficulty was getting up in time for an 8:30 appointment, and some confused people trying to direct traffic. We definitely have a smaller population, but our resources are proportionately smaller, too.
