Good morning, all. I can't believe that I am the first one to post this morning. I've been up for about an hour and a half and I'm not happy about it. I did manage to get about 3 1/2 hours of sleep. I hate it when I roll over in bed and my back screams and hollers at me. No way I can return to bed and sleep after being woke up like that. Oh well, that's life. Stay safe and well.

Hola .. :)

It's funny I woke up at 6 AM and could not get back to sleep either ..

Sleep Remedy. Take 1 shot every 10 minutes until passed out.

Thanks, I'll have to try those that you mentioned. I like a full bodied decaf and it's hard to find them. Sometimes they say they're bold, but I've been disappointed. I gravitate to the French roast. I still miss that jolt I used to get from a live cup, but my heart doesn't appreciate it so I'm going for flavor instead. 2 cups a day for me and even at the grocery store prices it's still cheaper than at a coffee shop.

My brother has been on SS disability for years and he got his money automatically deposited in his bank account. Don't you get direct deposit of your payments? Did you get it and not notice? If you didn't, be sure to check out the link Willie posted.

Yes, I have direct deposit for both S.S. disability and GM pension...but no stimulus checks are there!! Now I have to find Willie's post... thanks Janet!

Good morning. It's a wonderful Spring morning, 54o going up to 70 today.

The birds are singing like crazy outside and the rain seems to have finally stopped. It started raining yesterday morning and didn't stop until sometime last night. Didn't seem to bother that old raccoon though. I haven't been bringing in the suet feeder at night because it's never been bothered, but he must have even hungry last night because it was on the ground this morning. Even the cayenne pepper in the suet didn't stop him. Looks like I'll have to bring in both feeders at night now.

Janet, I finally gave up on the suet feeders..the damm squirrels were having a hayday with them..and they're in metal bell-shaped holders 15 ft. off the ground!! I even greased the feeders...no luck...
One of the feeders was right in front of the bay window.I'm fairly sure that they could hear the tv , and I can see them cuz I'm usually sitting directly across the room! I've banged on the window many times and hollered LOUD!

.doesn't stop the pests at all!

Hola .. :)

Some rain this AM, slow, big drops .. the Weather prognosticators are still saying there will be some near freezing night time temps coming up, so still not time to drag out the deck plants .. and, probably not quite time to put up the hummingbird feeders ..

They are really smart critters! My feeder is hanging off a rod that's attached to the deck railing at an angle. I mixed a LOT of cayenne pepper in the suet and it turns out they like it. The best thing I've found is threading the rod through plastic bottles. That way the bottle twists when they try to climb it and they fall off. Not sure it that will work for an upright pole.

They're cute little guys, but they chase all the birds away and you DON'T want one in your attic! We used to be overrun with them until a Coopers Hawk started hanging around and we've also spotted a fox. I think one or both have reduced our squirrel population to 2. Maybe I should send the hawk and fox to your house for a visit!
