When I lived in the city in WA, we had all sorts of critters. Their habitat has been taken over for development so where are they going to go.

Hola .. :)

I kept looking for a BS emoji, but could not find one, so ::

"...But hundreds of Pennsylvania vape shops may be snuffed out like a cigarette .... because of new taxes imposed on their products. Lawmakers passed a crippling 40 percent tax on e-cigarette and vaping liquid inventories, retroactive to Oct. 1, which has small business operators fuming and on the verge of losing their livelihoods...."

Well it wasn't total BS but not current. Since I don't buy from vape shops in PA I didn't keep up on the laws. The retroactive part was repealed.

"... The House Finance Committee voted 19-4 to repeal the 40-percent retroactive tax that is poised to drive hundreds of vape shops out of business and cost as many as 1,500 full-time jobs.

But PA still has the 40% tax on current complete kits being sold w/ or w/o liquid in them. So something like a Z-Biip would be taxed. But if you bought a mod w/o a tank the mod wouldn't be taxed. Like wise if you bought a standalone tanks or even coils ... they would not be taxed. On complete kits mod and tank are taxed at $40 of wholesale price.

You know I posted BS because of what your Legislature did .. not because I thought your Post was BS ..

@FranC ... question on the biips. I know they use the Z-coils in the refillable Pods. But how long do the Pods themselves last. Do you need a good stockpile of the Pods too?
Nah, I’ve never had to replace one.

Based on my personal experience, I don't think moving to the City is going to cure the menagerie issue ..

I'm not aware of deer, fox or raccoons living in center city Phila, but the rats... I'm sure on the outskirts of the city there are frequent sightings of deer, skunks and raccoons. They learn that where people are there is food!

At a dinner party in Phila once one of the couples was talking to us about where we lived. At that time we lived in a cottage in the middle of 50 acres of woods. The woman was horrified that I wasn't afraid of the critters. Funny, her doors were always locked even when she was home - for fear of people.

This reminds me of when we were in D.C. with our son and DIL a few years ago taking a walking tour of museums and memorials. After dinner we walked across K street to a little park and sat down to chat. The sun started to set and we suddenly realized all the people who had been strolling around had left. And then we saw them - the rats- they were EVERYWHERE! And they were HUGE! A few only had 3 legs. I bet some of them could have stood up and opened doors themselves!

Am I the only person alive who doesn't know that you can freeze mashed potatoes? Why have I never thought of doing it? So I tried it and it works beautifully! Now when I'm making them for dinner I purposely make extra and freeze some flat in a zip lock bag. They look watery when defrosted, but it all gets absorbed when they're heated up. It's nice to have on hand when trying to get dinner together.

    Good evening!:)
(yes, I'm talking to myself as usual here;))

I've been debating for quite a while now about stocking up on e-juice...just a few mins. ago I got smart and ordered a little over 50$ worth of juice. I still have quite a lot...and I know how to make my own, that's what I did for a long time...till I got lazy :)... and I'm well stocked up on all the ingredients.. I've got app. 9 or so mods also, so I should be all set for the coming apocalypse!

Good morning. It feels like the April showers arrived early. It's rained a lot in March to where some of our grass looks like it needs cutting. It's so nice to see some green and it will be nice for the easter egg hunt on Saturday. The forsythia is blooming everywhere and the daffodils and crocus have been up for awhile. Many of our trees are all budded. Woohoo! Isn't Spring wonderful!

Maybe they should move back to the city.
I just had a double movie flash "Green Acres" and "Over the Hedge". So yes, double belly shake laughs.

Oh. We used to make left over mashed into patties. To my taste, they are better fried, anyway.
My Mom used to do the same with left-over mashed potatoes. We called them "Potato Cakes".

I pulled out my riding mower and mowed my yard on Saturday. The weeds are enjoying the recent rain and sun.

Got ours shaved yesterday, some tall grasses in the moss... soon to become a weekly event for a few months.

Am I the only person alive who doesn't know that you can freeze mashed potatoes?

Uh, no? I'd never thought of that, either. Similar to you, Diver, we called 'em potato pancakes.

Well, it's the rare possum that can work a door knob ;)
