Speaking of food, in the past, I've mentioned my penchant for making a good quantity of some things that last me several days .. it's not that I don't like cooking, but it's really all about efficiency .. if I like a certain recipe I don't have a problem eating it for several days for dinner / supper ..

Menards (yes, the Home Improvement centers) carry a great line of soup packets where you just add your own extra stuff .. I particularly like the Enchilada flavor .. I'll use two packets in a large soup pot and add chicken / polish sausage / potatoes / frozen corn ..

It lasts me at least 4-5 days .. which, if you are a fan of History, the common folk of many years ago would always have a soup pot hanging on the fireplace, for fireplaces were not just for looks and heat back then .. they would toss in what they could get or had, maybe a raccoon or a squirrel (not whole), and what veggies might be available, and the soup would be constantly changing, yet pretty much always available ..

At any rate, I don't use raccoons or squirrels .. but, my soup lasts me a several days ..

Day One, it's really a soup, watery yet tasty .. have it with some fresh French bread
Day Two, same as day One, yet drop some sour cream on top along with some grated cheese and Taco Dorito bits ..
Day Three, add more meat, since by now, I've fished a lot of it off the bottom of the pot
Day Four, it's turned into a stew like consistency, so put some rice in the rice cooker and serve over rice .. I always have more rice than I need, so
Day Five, leftover rice was dumped in from Day Four ..

At that point, I've had enough, and if some is still left, it gets bagged up and tossed into the trash ..

I follow similar routines with Chili .. Just Chili / Frito Pie / Chili Dogs / Chili over Pasta, etc ..

Lastly, I find the secret to making fried rice is to leave the cooked rice in the fridge overnight .. then, just go to it the next day and fry in whatever you like and it will not stick together .. and, you don't need a wok .. crack an egg or 4 in there, chop up some bologna, spices as you please .. just use your imagination .. :) .. whatever suites your fancy ..

Isn't it nice knowing that you don't have to figure out what you want to make for dinner? I love having a pot of something in the fridge for dinner. I'll eat on it for days too!

I also have to admit, I actually like Ramen .. :p

There's a reason it's so popular. There's even sweet or savory recipes that just use the noodles.

Yesterday our daughter and family were here to do Easter since Brian will be flying today. As long as they were going to come over, might as well have our son and his family come too! I'd made potato salad and broccoli casseroles so while the ham and casseroles were warming in the oven us ladies had a wine tasting! Somehow dinner got served and we all ate, well, except for the kids. They were so full of candy I thought we'd have to scrape them from the ceiling. Kate had the idea of getting them bug collecting kits so that kept them joyfully busy outside finding salamanders and worms for awhile. By the time everyone left I about had to crawl up the steps to bed. Whew! It was a wonderful day, but exhausting! So now today feels like Monday and we're all confused.

Good morning. Blue skies and sunshine here with temps in the mid to upper 60's for the next few days. Woohoo! Nice!

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend.

Well, dang....dark skies and pouring down rain here for the next few days, but that's fine with me..it'll make my garden flowers bloom well! But the temps. are averaging the low to mid 60's .

So our Z-Biips showed up on Saturday. Neither Janet or I had a good first impression taking them out of the box. Geez, nobody told me I needed a handcart to carry it around. Dang, I think it's the heaviest mod I own.

Fast forward about an hour after they were all juiced up and used for awhile. That's when we placed an order for a few more.

After awhile you stop noticing the heft.

Building up some wrist muscles for pushing the lawn mower.

And today ... some spare Pods showed up. Janet said she saw someplace about Innokin coming out w/ 4ml Pod for the Biip ... hear anything about that?

hmmm ... Janet can pull the cover off of hers and the pod stays in place. If I do that the pod comes off with the cover. I have to be careful on how I remove it, so the pod stays in place.

The 4ml pod isn’t new. I have no idea where to get them as I’ve never been interested in it. I also have never pulled the old off with the cover.

In my non-expert review a few days back, I mentioned the weight and compared it to a fully loaded Solo with ZLIDE .. and inquired twice about the 4ml PODS ..

Sheesh, I feel jilted .. but, glad you liked them .. :)

On a side note, I've charged the unit up a few times now and they seem to charge pretty fast, whether it's a PC USB or a dedicated phone charger ..

I never put the cover back on ..

If I had a nit pick, it would be there should be a better grip ability on the sides of the POD's when you want to take one off .. and, turning the POD piece to fill, on the one I'm currently using is slightly difficult .. you really have to grip to get it to turn ..

Turning the pod to fill will get easier. I don't put my covers back on either.

I just did not see any point in the cover .. over the years, my habit is to never let a PV lay on its side or go upside down ..

Well I can say for sure, when I put a mod in my pocket and go ride the tractor to mow the property ... when I stop for a vape ... the drip tip is full of dirt dust and grass bits. Yuck. The biip w/ cover will be eliminate that problem.
