Good morning all!

Lousy night's sleep, but I made it in to work on time. My eyes are at half-mast and telling me they'd prefer a nap, who needs to wait to 2pm. ;)

It's going to be a sunny, warm day here. We may move our Wed. meeting out to the back deck. It will be nice to catch some rays and maybe they won't be able to see through my sunglasses that my eyes are closed.

Safe travels to those one the road.

Morning, all. Still scattered rain here, and, oddly enough, some of it scattered here for a change.

Hope you have mirrored sunglasses ;)

Good morning friends!
I am a happy oldbroad this morning! I finally found a company to mow my lawn...the two men just left. I am SO impressed with the job they did that I paid them an extra $10 .
They even cleaned up all the leaves n debris that was under the carport, and they cleaned up the little paver patio at the back of the house, moving out all the stuff that was there first
and then putting it back.

They're new to this..it's a side job..but I asked them anyway to make up some cards cuz I'm pretty sure that the neighbors will be asking me who did such a great job:)

Funny, the more I look at that picture the more fake it looks. I guess some graphic design person makes them for advertising maybe?

hmmm? Staged, maybe, because there's no junk in front of the truck, just doesn't seem possible that nothing accumulated in front of it. Is that what you meant by 'fake'.

A whole bunch of things. The even coat of dust on the windshield, headlights, fully inflated tires, new plant growth on the trellis, trellis not falling apart lol. Just no real deterioration considering how grey and old it's supposed to be.
    Apparently, I'm extremely bored lol.
It just struck me that someone creates these things. Maybe artwork for marketing?

Uh, but what would they be marketing??

There's a market for everything I suppose. Do you have the Cracker Barrel chain of eateries in your area. The walls are hung with old farm implements and other 'antique' stuff in general. It's actually 'newly' manufactured to look old just to be used in that type of atmosphere for the look of 'old stuff'.

Have you ever seen those detailed paintings on saw blades? We had a local artist in WA state who did that. Incredible detail on such a small area. She sold them in a homestyle restaurant similar to Cracker Barrel but way better food.

No, no Barrels here that I know of, but I do recall them from younger days, many of which (while a kid) were in St. Louis and points east.
The restaurant is in Seabeck. You should go there if they are still open. I cannot remember the name of it but not like there are a bunch of restaurants in Seabeck. Best Reuben on the planet.

Hello all from sunny and hot South Carolina. My flight went well except it was delayed almost an hour which messed up my connecting flight. That one was boarding as we were coming in for a landing. No gate listed on my boarding pass so had no idea where to go. Our SIL texted me which gate to go to and said it's not far so if I hustle I should make it. Sounds good, but turns out the sign said it was an 8 minute walk from where I was. I didn't have 8 minutes! So this old lady went hoofing it through the terminal dragging my carry on behind me. I arrived just in time to head down the "tunnel" and out the door onto the tarmac where I had to muscle my suitcase onto the loading cart and walk up a ramp to the plane. Brian gave me an "atta girl" and I found my seat with assurances from him that my bag would arrive with me in Augusta Georgia. It was a short flight. Only 1 flight attendant since the plane was only 3 seats across and it was packed. Upon landing she gave us her spiel over the PA system and warned us that we must keep our masks on and maintain social distancing - huh? We're sitting in here shoulder to shoulder! Oh well that's life in the Twilight Zone.

So, here I am and having a lovely time with my sister. It's been a long time since we've seen each other. We just took a good walk down to the lake and now I need another shower. It's 90 degrees outside with barely a breeze.

We're making chicken livers for me for dinner and we can take a portion to my BIL in the nursing home tomorrow. He and I love them and it's pretty much the only time I get to eat them. He's going to be so happy!!

Good morning. It's an overcast 75 degrees here in SC this morning. I awoke to lots of birds singing outside my window. It's lovely.

I made chicken livers for dinner last night. I bet I haven't had them in 2 years at least. Delicious! I ate half and we'll take the other half to the nursing home for Joe in the nursing home. He's going to be thrilled. Finally a home cooked meal and this is one of his favorites!

Oh my goodness, Rocket is adorable! What a lucky pup to have his forever home with you!
