what, all of you still have your original teeth .. ??
A zillion caps and crowns, but all but one (implant) are on original roots. All wisdom teeth and one more molar gone but not replaced. All in the genes I guess. My mom had most of her teeth when she passed (although heavily filled and crowned); my dad had only the four lower incisors left by the time he was 21. In fact, that's why he "chose" the Navy - the army required at least one set of opposing molars. I guess they figured their people might be reduced to eating grass-seed at some point. In the navy - no kitchen = no ship = no problem with eating hard rations.

Hola .. :)

My choice to go with dentures was based on my original teeth nickel and diming me to death .. and, it was not nickels and dimes .. I finally just decided to throw in the towel and get it over with .. yeah, I could have just kept lining the Dentists pockets, that's what they want ..

I simply decided to exit the 'We must save our teeth at all costs' Club .. which was likely invented by the Dental Cartel ..

Kay drops in, then, poof, she's gone again .. o_O
EmoticonWasntMe.gif I hope she will be back real soon. Bless her heart. She has had a lot of computer issues.

I guess I am lucky to still have my teeth. And smart too because I had 5 wisdom teeth removed. unnamed.gif My mom lost hers in her early 30's and dad still has his. I have just about reached my quota of dental care/cost. I have other plans for that money!

I was tickled this morning when I woke up feeling sort of okay. I was expecting the worse after all the heavy lifting I did yesterday. As the day went on I started getting more sore. Tonight I had a hard time pulling dad up out of his chair. I am sure I will be fine by morning but I think I might just take an Advil or a muscle relaxer before I go to sleep. b3c.gif

Morning, all,

If they guessed right, a big(ish) storm coming in. Still talking about lots more snow over 2500', measuring in feet higher up. Nice bonus before the melt starts. Sadly none of it looks to be going south, where they need it a lot more...

Mike is going fishing today

And no fish were hurt on this outing or caught. That's why it's called "fishing" and not "catching". The must be have been about a dozen of us stretched out along a few mile section of the stream. The morning was bitter cold and the water temp wasn't much better. It was a nice 'outing' with friends but a yucky day of fishing. I think all day just one fish was caught. A most unusual opening day of trout season. Oh well, I'll be back up there next weekend so there should still be plenty of fish for the catching (I hope).

Well fishing or catching regardless we always break for a good lunch. That's my buddy Squatch. He got that nickname because his as big a a sasquatch. He's also known as the Gentle Giant because he is one of the nicest most helpful person you'll ever meet.

It is Sunday so I am going to my aunt's again. We are taking fried chicken. I made everything else to go with the meal but I am cheating and buying the chicken.

My cousin is dog sitting for two weeks so she is bringing her little guest. Going to be the first time I have been around a dog since I lost mine. Oh don't worry. I still miss my dog terribly but it will not upset me to play with this one. I just hope it doesn't make me want another one. heehee

Well, this weekend has been sort of a bust. I didn’t get the first bit of yardwork done over at my mom’s. I got some cleaning done, then got suckered into helping my brother attempt to figure out the issues she’s been having with her well pump. It did not go well, and she is going to call a professional tomorrow. He was not impressed with my flashlight-holding skills, and I was not impressed with how he thought that light should somehow shine THROUGH him when he kept moving in front of the light. We barely get along as it is, so yesterday was a REAL challenge, to say the least.

I did manage to throw out a bunch of junk that she had previously refused to get rid of, including two vacuum cleaners that no longer work. I took those and five big bags of assorted junk to the dump, along with a month’s worth of plastic bottles and a bunch of newspapers and cardboard boxes. There were lots of doggo pets, but nary a limb was picked up from the yard. I’ll get it done eventually, I hope.

Today, I have been trying to get things done around my house. I am almost out of energy, so what doesn’t get done will just have to wait. I need SOME time to relax, because next week is going to be awful. Time to sit on my rump and try to stay awake until bedtime!

I hope you all have a great evening!

I know you had a good day anyway. I had to hit the "love" button on that one. Not because you didn't catch anything but because your friend Squatch. . .had a nice goatee!!!!View attachment 972105

And how about dedicated cigar smokers with a goatee. I mean Steve just has to have his cigar while 'on the stream' and it's truly tricky to keep an ash try floating by your side when you don't want it in your mouth. Hence the handy-dandy cigar holder on his arm.

OMgosh, I am already envisioning how I could make a tooter holder for when I am mowing, blowing, and edging. Did he come up with that or did someone make a fortune off a good idea? MG_248.gif

I know exactly what you mean. I think it is a "man" thing. Every one needs one of these. . . R.jpg I use them for dad's toenail trimmings (which is my least favorite thing to do in the whole world). unnamed.gif

but nary a limb was picked up from the yard
If I lived close to you, I'd send my dad over with his grabby thingy. He has spent hours picking up ours because he does not want to run over them with the lawnmower.

I need SOME time to relax,
Yes you do! I hope this week is better than you are expecting. I'm an optimist. www.MessenTools.com-Mensajes-big-25.gif

My supper and Smithfield Chicken turned out wonderful. My cousin brought a yellow cake with chocolate icing and I bought hazelnut gelato to go with it. First time I have ever had it and I was impressed. Too expensive to eat all the time but it will be my future treats. I love treats!unnamed.gif

Morning, all.

Soggy here, as light rain continues. A bit over 4/10ths overnight, not as much as they guessed, but then again, 5 miles away might have been double or triple that. And said to continue today and tonight.

So, a comfy chair, coffee and vape while I watch the grass grow ;)
