I make it by hand but with a bread machine you could have the same delicious bread and it does the whole thing for you!

Good morning Fran. It's 34 here, going all the way up to 44 today. We had our first winter weather alert for this morning. With the temps so low and a gentle "wintry mix" falling, the roads are expected to be slippery. That's a good reason to stay home and be grateful we don't have to be out in it.

I bought some yesterday. So I suppose it is all good. I was staring at the bananas. Might break out another jar of my peach/jalapeno jam soon.

I never thought of doing that, but it's a great idea. Not very healthy, but what a way to go! I make my bacon in the oven (thank you Seapeach!) and use parchment paper on the baking sheet for easy clean up, but a few pieces in the cast iron pan would provide the drippings for some gravy...
