While that's still a possibility here, nope.

Watering, then got snagged by a neighbor with a balky car, took my code reader over to help out. Maybe got him on the right track :)

Then, finished watering. At least, with the cooler temps, the frequency has gone down. Maybe some rain. Next month.

Kind of dreary looking Saturday morning here. Having a hard time getting my .... in gear, even after two cups of coffee. Well maybe that's because finishing cleaning out a corner of the garage is on the days agenda. OMG there's a workbench out there that I cleaned up yesterday. I don't think I've seen that flat server completely clutter free in 30 years. Next step is to actually get rid of it. Too awkward to put on the sidewalk w/ a free sign. Likely put it up on FB Market for free or post it to Freecycle. It's a good study metal frame and legs with a wooden top. I suppose someone will be happy to get it.

Good morning, Lizards!

It‘s chilly out this morning, high temp to be somewhere in the low 80’s later today. It’s starting to feel more like fall.

Hubs got the all-clear to return to work last week, so he started on Thursday. He has to go in at noon today, so I’ll do some cleaning when he leaves. I feel like I clean better when I have the house to myself, for some reason. I have a roast in the slow cooker, so at least dinner is taken care of.

I knew that a big subdivision was eventually going to be built a few miles from me, and on my way home yesterday, I saw that those acres and acres of woods had been cleared. It makes me so sad, but I guess there’s not much I can do about it. People show up to commission meetings and these things get voted down, but after more than a few revised proposals, the developers eventually win and the mass construction begins.

I hope you all are doing well and have a lovely Saturday!

Well, maybe ;) There have been a few times, when the rain doesn't stop for a month, that even we do get a bit bored with it :) But generally there's a sun break every few days. Then again, these days, who the heck knows...

Morning, all, and yes, the dry continues. :(

We move from our last house because acres and acres of open land adjoining our property was rezoned to high density cluster housing when the township lost a law suit the developer filed. Originally it was zoned for single family homes with minimum 3/4 acre lots. The developer's lawsuit was that the township didn't have it's 'fair share' of high density housing. So we moved.

There was about 300 acres of fields and woodland abutting the 'new house'. Eventually that was all developed two but it was single family residence with minimum of 1 acre lots. And most of the homes were built on even 1 1/2 to 2 acre lots.

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Hola .. :)

Albert Pujols (St Louis Cardinal if you did not know) hits homeruns 699 and 700 on Apple TV+ .. happy to see he didn't do it against the Padres earlier in the week, who are having enough problems without that .. if he couldn't do it in St. Louis, Dodger Stadium was the next best place ..

And you can bet he did it without medical assistance ..

I've got good seats for the Pirates game on Sept 30th .. Adam Wainwright Bobble Head night as a bonus .. I've been very tempted to sell the tickets I've had some crazy offers .. nope ..

But, I promise to wave to you guys ..

The real beauty here is, everyone in the Stadium was rooting and cheering for him .. also a great time to have it happen as the game was meaningless for the Dodgers .. they already have home-field throughout the playoffs .. The Dodger fans were all in on him getting to 700 .. it was nice to see something like that happen ..

Morning, all.

Hope those in the path of the 'canes are all safe, dry, and with power!

Another dry day here, warmish. High coming in, so that's not going to change, other than getting a bit warmer. Happened to catch local weather on two stations last night, one with the guess of "maybe random light showers" Wednesday, one says rain Wednesday and Thursday. I like the second guess better, but actually don't expect either to be right.

@DavidOck ... say David, any idea when I visit the 'petition(picture)' thread when I click on the post title in my list of watched threads it always backs me up a few posts and I have to click forward to get to the 'new' one I haven't seen yet.

All the other threads I visit always take me to the last unread thread but not the 'petition' thread.

Morning, loungers.

Another sunny day here, and warm again. Time to water...

Uh, no, no idea. I usually go there via the drop down for "Forums", top left, for Watched Threads, and go straight the the first unread. Might be a difference on the new software if you're getting there via another link? Or the software (or you?) not tagging the last one you saw?

hmmm? I access that thread and all 'my' others just that way. I don't bother tagging the last I saw (I wouldn't know how to do that or what you mean by it). Just something strange going on for me with that particularly thread.

Odd, then...

I guess by "tag" I meant along the lines of a like or whatever. Yes, just looking at a page probably won't let the software know you've read it, although it could be configured that way. But then it would likely dump you further down, i.e. to the last post on that page, rather than back up.

Or it could be browser related. Iirc you run Macs? I'm on Windows, 10, and Firefox.

II’m sorry I don”t get here very often anymore but I do stop by to read the posts. Life has been difficult for the past few years due to my heart problems. When it all started I downsized all my outdoor beds and created a single bed with hardy perenials and natives. That bed takes care of itself with very little help. I still have my GH and the orchids although I rehomed many of those too. All this was in anticipation of my health issues in the knowledge there would could be extended periods of time when I couldn't do much and hubby would need to care for the plants. I'm glad I prepared so well because for the past almost 6 months hubby has had to do it all…I had to concentrate on healing from heart procedures. I'm not complaining. The alternative would suck. I am finally able to go outside and work with the orchids for a couple of hours every day.

Here are a couple of orchids from my GH for your enjoyment.
