Some years back, I think around the early 2000's, I decided to digitize my slides and film .. it was a time consuming project and I never finished it .. a few months back, I broke out my old film / slide scanner and it was so glitchy, I gave up .. (I've never understood how some things that worked perfectly when you put them away, and then, years later, they suddenly don't work right ..
) ..
Anyway, I decided last week to take a look at some of the old digitized photos and came to the quick realization that the tech I was using back in the day was really sub-par .. all the slides / negatives I had worked on were very low resolution / grainy .. so, I bought a used state of the art unit and have been working with it the last few days, teaching myself it's best workflow .. doing a slide or negative at 9600DPI results in some large files, yet is able to really bring out the details ..
You know this is leading up to something ..
.. here is a couple of reduced size conversions ..
