Yes, and the kitties give good kisses lol. A lot easier that taking care of a child. I could have done it and loved 'em, but I'm glad I didn't. I just babysit everyone else's and then return them when they get snotty or bratty acting. Hey -- I got swooped when I got home!
One thing good about the kitties, you can give them away, though not easily. Hope we don't get lonely when we get older.

I don't think we will get lonely. As long as you are sociable there will always be someone somewhere to talk with and if you develop dementia they will always be new friends lol. I personally don't plan to ever enter a home. I will just maybe take a long swim out into the ocean.... a real long one....

Okay -- let me tell you about getting swooped -- and pecked! As I was driving in front of my house this afternoon I saw a little bird in the street and it wasn't flying away, but hopped once or twice. I knew it had just come out of the nest and went to get it and put it up into the yard. Bad choice -- mama was watching and boy did she come after me. Swooped me and finally flew straight into my shoulder and pecked at my arm! I'm stooped over trying to run under the crape myrtles and she is not letting up lol. Once I made it to the sidewalk I hightailed it toward the garage with her dogging me lol. That'll teach me!
Lunchtime! I'll go watch some more interesting videos...

Well, it is what it is. I hate getting old. I look in the mirror and think, "Who is that woman?" Then it's like, "Oh snap, that's me!" My brain thinks it's twenty and sometimes tries to behave like it too, much to my dismay the next day.

Rena Kay's theme is the blue butterfly and thyroid disease awareness. The last post of Rena Kay's I saw was telling all us DIYers that she was going to pack up her computer b/c of a home remodeling she and her DH were going to begin. I did not know that she had thyroid disease (Graves disease) until I saw her theme and the well wishes for her from another forum member.

Hi Sea we don't know if she will be on, her last post was a few weeks ago that she was having surgery on the 29th of June and didn't reply to the reminder pm, we are hoping she is OK and recovering
Maybe she will come by, but yes, more posts in her welcome thread would of course be wonderful for her to see when she returns.

St**rry, the local fireworks were Grrrreat! An hour long!! and done by remote controller - he's a friend of mine and a local 'handyman/jack of all trades' type... lots of oouuus and ahhhhs and applause...
