Hi Starry!:) Hi Kent!:)

Thought I better come back and make an edit to my post before on rkayw. In her own words:

Hyperthyroidism Graves Disease. Graves disease is a autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid.

So, I should not have said thyroid cancer, and I will go back and edit it out so I don't give inaccurate info. Sry bout that.

Hi Sea we don't know if she will be on, her last post was a few weeks ago that she was having surgery on the 29th of June and didn't reply to the reminder pm, we are hoping she is OK and recovering :)

Maybe she will come by, but yes, more posts in her welcome thread would of course be wonderful for her to see when she returns.

I hope her recovery is coming along okay, Starry, and that she is busy with other things in RL. I'm sure she will be pleased with her thread and well wishes when she returns to us. Thank you.:)

Yeah... he works for a fireworks company on the side.... sure he got a deal... also only about 4 miles away in the country, so well worth it.

Watched the fireworks in NY this year. Started with the one in Boston but our local channel CBS, had a weather graphic up that takes up about 10% of the screen  I almost called theme with a WTF! Are you nuts! Are you trying to get people to switch channels. (and it was just a 'severe thunderstorm warning' not a tornado - which would be different) ... So switched to the one in NY. I try to picture exactly where that is - you may know - is it on the East River or Hudson and on the NJ side or the NY side - I expect the NY side but it doesn't look like it's near any big buildings - Wall Street area, etc.

AND after flipping back to CBS - the dvr holds that channel... it was much better show than Boston anyway

Here in SD, ppl arrive in the afternoon to see the fireworks - lining up along the bay. When they went to shoot off the fireworks on the 4th, there was a corrupted computer file/command, and they all went off in three huge, bomb-like explosions. Instead of 17 minutes, the blasts lasted 15 seconds. NO one was killed in the mishap, but it saturated the major news stations and can be seen on uTube.

Well, it is what it is. I hate getting old. I look in the mirror and think, "Who is that woman?" Then it's like, "Oh snap, that's me!" My brain thinks it's twenty and sometimes tries to behave like it too, much to my dismay the next day.

I resemble that!!!

Hope there wasn't any major damage sun.

I was actually right near where they go off by the hudson a few weeks ago, a friend lives in a penthouse in Hoboken which has the best view you could imagine, you feel like you can reach out and touch the Empire State Building. I also have a spectacular view of the NYC skyline from my office, we take it for granted for we see it everyday , but when visitors come in (especially international ones) they are stunned.
