Good night jj, sweet dreams my friend. Chat ya tomorrow. I won't even be out of bed yet for the turning, so have fun with it.
Yes, me to, Sea. That's the unfortunate part of war, families get hurt too, not just the soldier.I'm sorry Sea. It was a horrible, violent, useless war and I'm sorry your brother came home so damaged from it.
I am thinking of blogging it on my personal web space. Might be fun to do.NCC, you should put the link of your trip on your Friends page so all your friends that visit it will see it and view it.
Jerry, in the 1970s, I was personally acquainted with several Viet Nam vets who clearly had psychological problems associated with their war experience.Yes, me to, Sea. That's the unfortunate part of war, families get hurt too, not just the soldier.
When I was very young, my family rented an apartment from an elderly woman. My mother told me that she was a bit crazy and to stay away from her. One day that woman invited me into her apartment and I went. She was very nice to me, but I noticed pictures of a young man in uniform all over the room. Being very young, I asked her who he was and she told me that he was her husband, who was killed in WWI. In later years, I heard that she was committed to an asylum. I have always felt that it was her husband's death that was her downfall.![]()
One more post. DH was in Vietnam. The 101st airborne. He still deals with the Malaria and the nightmares from it. He also still has some bad feelings about the war that was not a war and how soldiers were treated when they came home.
Now good night all.

And another......![]()
I'm depressing myself. LOL
Gotcha. Even if I left a link it would be buried in hours on this thread. I'll have to post a link on my ECF Profile page, right? That's the page I've been leaving you Christmas cards and stuff on for the past couple of years, NCC. You left a Howdy on mine about 6 mos. ago. You can leave yourself a message there of your trip link so we can find it. I can't possibly find it now buried in this thread, and I haven't had a chance to view it.
Nope, I'm 97, Sun.It stands to reason as we are all about the same age... close enough anyway....
It's a thought, Sea.Take a deep breath and a stiff shot, Jerry.![]()
