I'm not depressed. Maybe Jerry needs one of my happy place pills lol.
You know what hurts me the most, it's what Jan said about when we came home. We were called baby killers and people shunned us.

Years later, when they decided to have a "welcome home" for us, I felt that it was too late and I still feel that way.

I may need that stiff drink now, Sea. LOL

Jerry, I don't know who Jan is. I can only speak for myself. I was a war protester. But, I can truthfully tell you now that neither me, nor to my knowledge, any of my fellow protesters ever held a grievance with the soldiers.

Of course it was too late Jerry. And some of those babies were swaddled with bombs. Of course I have never been to war, only seen the effects. When it comes to war I think like Jerry -- "we'd better have a damn good reason to be in it." But, if there is good reason, I vote for total destruction. No one left standing. Nada.

Shall we discuss something else? Now that you know I am so far left I am right?

Our soldiers were baby killer, Jerry. They had to be. Charlie strapped bombs to their own children and taught them how to do grenade work. It was either kill the kids with the arms or loose the whole troops. War is UGLY! Will we ever have world peace? Never until we realize we're all one piece of the whole and learn to work together.

I know that NCC. I had a lot of "hippie" friends one of whom was part of the underground railroad that helped draft dodgers get to Canada.

I was on leave and visiting him one time, when there was a draft dodger there. He asked me what I did for a living and I told him that I was in the Army. He jumped up and headed for the door. I laughed and told him to relax, that I wasn't going to turn him in and I didn't. :D
